So, has anyone been following this game from BioWare?

It is supposedly being billed as the spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate series, though it is not based on Dungeons & Dragons.

According to their forums, no official release has been set. However, Amazon and Eb Games say(at the time of this post) that it will release on 3-23-09.

So far, they haven't said if it is going to ship with DRM; however, BioWare is affiliated with EA.

 

If EA stays out of the picture and lets them release them whenever they are ready then I am sure that it will be great. If EA pulls an EA and makes them release it before it is ready then it will prolly be shit. For the time being EA has been very hands off with Bioware but who knows how long that can last.

 

It looks pretty nice from what I see so far and sounds fairly interesting. I doubt that I would have the money or the system capabilities to run it though.

 

Im definitely looking forward to this game, the gameplay and graphics look good I'm just waiting to see if the overall story stands up.

 

If it's anything like Baldur's Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, or Mass Effect it will be an epic game. Bioware is the only game company I know that can consitently produce great games.

 

Only Bioware's soul belongs to EA now. EA fucks up everything it touches.

 

I'm pretty sure Bioware's awesomeness can overcome EA shit factor. Or atleast I hope.
