View Full Version : My Principal... A Decent Human Being? Giovanni is Confused

As many of you may know, I have net to no respect for my schools Principal. I have been of the belief that he is ridiculously incompetant and has no business being in charge of a classroom of children, much less an entire school of them.

However that opinion got weakened a bit just now... I was talking with a friend of mine about the man today, and she said to me "You know at lunch on Friday, he was actually ok."

Naturally I was skeptical of this. I rarely had any reason to think of the man as anything other than an idiotic wanker who I had to tolerate... But then my friend went on to describe what happened.

Apparently, on Friday one of the people sitting with them decided to start making fun of JP, one of the few openly (and rather flamboyantly) gay students in the school. One of the girls at the table then took it upon herself to slap the asshole in the face... HARD.

All the while our Principal was only 5 feet away. The kid who got slapped (and who had a HUGE fast bruising) handprint on his face turned and complained. Instead of disciplining the girl who hit the asshole, my Principal suspended the kid who got slapped for being a hateful little jackass.

Don't get me wrong... I still think that the man is incompetant and has no business being in charge of a school. But now at least I know that he is a fundamentally decent human being. Just thought I would share this with the forum; because even though we are not SUPPOSED to use this as a blogging space, I think that the world could use more people with that kind of attitude, and I was wondering what your thoughts on it were.

I think he's incompetant from what you jsut said....sure I would have suspended the due but the girl would have gotten some form of punishment for breaking the rules as well.

Suppose the principal isn't that big of a douche if he's against discrimination.

I agree with True Story, if he's truely against discrimination, and not just doing it to try gain a bit of respect, then he can't actually be that bad, maybe a bit of a jackass, but fundamentally OK. Congrats to the girl as well, the slapping may have been a bit over the top, but i got the job done.

It was good that she voiced her opinion to the idiot, but if it had been the other way around (girl making fun of Gay, and boy slapping girl). The boy would be punished. Maybe even more than the girl.

This kid had been taunting JP for most of the period before he got slapped... And JP IS one of the more sensitive people in the school. So in my mind, the slap was totally deserved.

It also proves that my Principal isn't stupid... Our school might not be as pro-tolerance as I would like it to be; but if the Principal punished the girl there would have been a walkout several hundred students strong. Both the girl who did the slapping and JP are pretty popular with the Progressive crowd in school. A group which comprises almost 30% of the school. We are almost 500 students strong.

Teachers have to be cocks, its not a popularity contest for them.

I thought my head of house was an incompetant wanker who seemed to make everyone hate him, but it turns out that his job is bluddy stressful and since leaving he is...more pleasent...

I absolutely hated my teachers in school. They said they had the best anti-bullying policy in the area. Yep - Ignore it and it doesn't exist.
Bloody bastards were all Nazis in disguise. They are now one step away from putting guard towers up - they have the barbed wire fences already - The metal ones like spears but they strung barbed wire around it as well. Bloody Sadists.

Both students should have be punished, regardless of the situation.

I think only the guy should be pusished unless the girl left any permanent injuries or he required hospitalization in that case both should of been punished
oh and a little off topic to have a 500 person walkout at my high school we would have to draft from public schools :(
