Last night, I watched the E3 Day 1 wrap-up on IGN, and a Microsoft Dev. said that the Xbox was to show that they could make good games for the hardcore gamer, but now they are trying to appeal to both the hardcore gamer and the general audience by making "kiddy games" such as Viva Pinata. Well, it looks like Microsoft is following in Nintendo's footsteps, meaning that Nintendo must be doing something good.

Either that, or they just want to take over Nintendo's only real market (the kiddie gamers) and drive the final nail into their coffin. Would be fine with me. As far as I'm concerned, Nintendo is the last remaining relic of the gaming past and is doomed to fade into obscurity sooner or later.

Only in order to stop Playstation dominating the market. A risky strategy in my opinion...

eh Not every game has to be the mature shit to be fun.

I already have an Xbox360, and plan on getting a Wii, before that article even came out, so they are smart.

One example of this is Super Monkey Ball. That game is extremely fun, and has zero things mature about it.

    Yea that game was fun.

Another example would be Animal Crossing and Pikman.

Both games are not mature, but I found them quite fun.

Heh, Pikmin was awesome. I really liked Pikmin 2 as well, especially the two new Pikmin. I haven't played Animal Crossing, as I'm not really interested in it. Another example of a fun "kiddy" game would be Wind Waker. Even though the graphics are about as unrealistic as it gets, the game is still awesome to play.

I watched the E3 coverage, and am truly excited. the one thing I want know is MGS4. Microsoft still has not convinced me to buy a 360 and never will. I do want a Wii though.

Wii is the game system that will cost you roughly $600.00 and the games will cost roughly $90.00 per game, is it not?

Ridiculous if you ask me. I do not see how someone would want to pay that much for a game. The most I have spent on a game was $60.00 and Im not going any higher.

It doesn't matter, a system is a system. Its creation was for entertainment and all are the same in my eyes. Some might not be as 'advanced' as the next, but it was still invented for entertainment.

And you won't actually own the games for the PS3, you will just have a license to play the game, nothing more, and the game will be uploaded to your PS3's HD.

Heh, my bad. I thought it was fact, and hadn't know that it was a rumor because I generally don't follow the stuff that happens to the PS3 and such. Thanks for clarifying Mid.
