A new NBC show that started this year. The first season that just finished focuses on the first book that Thomas Harris wrote in the series, Red Dragon, showing Hannibal's relationship with a FBI special investigator before his capture.

It's amazing. It has characters with depth to them, great character interaction, wonderful cinematography, and a gripping plot. The actors are wonderful at what they do - in my opinion, this version of Hannibal eclipses the one in Silence of the Lambs. It should go without saying, but Hannibal is very dark. My only gripe with the show is that, for half the time, we focus on a character that isn't Hannibal.

Definitely worth watching. At least try an episode before dismissing it.

I love the art direction in this show, especially when it comes to the food.

Never has cannibalism looked more appetizing.

I enjoy this show. It's not perfect, and at times it drags a bit, but I have to say that I just love Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal. I think he does a great job of taking a character who has in the past been so strongly associated with another actor and putting his own spin on it.

The trailer for season two was released and GOD DAMN is it beautiful. I'm looking forward to this season so much, the first season was easy 5/5 material.

Decided to watch this based on recommendations, did not expect that very dark for free tv meant near bile inducing dark. Luckily I'd had dinner a few hours before watching the episode 2 crime scene and that the meal did not consist of mushrooms.

Compelling, riveting, beautifully constructed and acted despite (and especially) the sheer horrificness of how the screen switches between crime scene and kitchen prep.

So for those of you who haven't heard, season 2 is on the airwaves and what a fucking season it's shaping up to be. The intro of the first episode, which we'd scene clips of in the trailer, was fucking brutal, and while the rest of the episode wasn't quite beyond the high bar set by last season, the 2nd episode was incredibly tense and kept momentum remarkably well throughout.

The killer of the week formula that I'd found tacky in the first season seems to have been reworked to something with a less of a CSI knock-off feel, which only heightens my expectations for the rest of the season.

Also, Gillian Anderson may be the most beautiful woman on the wrong side of 45, and I hope that we haven't seen the last of her character despite what the final scene of tonight's episode implied.

Is anyone still watching this? Because JESUS CHRIST.

This is the only non-comedy show I'm watching on tv right now that I like every single part of. Goddamn the dialogue. Double goddamn the fucking food porn.

    Also, season 3 confirmed.

I really like the people they have playing Mason and Margot. Excellent additions to the cast.

In the last three days I have watched everything that came out so far for this show and I have loved every single episode. I have also learned a valuable lesson and that was to never watch an episode when I am hungry, because the food porn is overwhelming.

I had thought S2 might make me lose interest, but it only intensified it. What's been happening with Will and Hannibal, man oh man, it's fantastic.

When they introduced Margot, I thought it sounded familiar (read the books last time some 5-6 years ago), and voila, Mason popped in the show as well. Both were extremely well cast. In fact, everyone was well cast for the show.

Although I admit I could have done without watching Mason drink the tears of children in this, even though that shit happened in the books. It's just over the top silly.

    jESUS CHRIST THE EPISODE.

Also, I didn't think this show could get gayer. And then, Hannibal compared their relationship to Achilles-Patroclus.

Do you realize how hard you have to gay to out-gay Greeks?

This is the only episode where I've actually had difficulty watching it. That said, I'm really excited for the season's finale.

I can't wait to see Alana's face when she realizes her mistake. I'm wondering if they're going to end this season with Hannibal escaping or being caught. Or on a cliffhanger, since the beginning of this season started with a scene that I can't see how they're going to get to.

Holy shit. What the hell did I just watch?

I can't believe we have to wait an entire year for season 3.

Damn, what an amazing episode. I am so incredibly disappointed that this show gets so little viewers considering it's quality. I wish I could say that Hans Mikkelsen deserves an Emmy, but the competition this year is incredible with the TV we have gotten.

The last 15 minutes of that finale are by far and away the best TV I've ever watched. WOW!

I'd been predicting all along that it was Will and Jack that were being played, and they just thought that they were in control. But holy jesus - I did not expect the rest!

Abigail being alive - GENIUS, and shows once and for all that Hannibal was playing the long game and masterminding the whole thing.

I was expecting Alana to die, but holy shit not like that. I thought Will would be forced to watch and it would break him. I did NOT expect Will to be gutted like that, nor for Jack to actually die.

And probably the biggest twist of all? After the credits. Bedellia you beauty! Absolute genius. Completely blindsided me.

This show is by far and away the best TV that's ever been made. Words can't describe it.

Roll on Season 3!!! Have to wait a year though - ARGH!

That ending. I can't recall anything recently that made me feel so thoroughly sad.

That music. I hope they will release an official soundtrack.

Thank fuck this got renewed for a third season.

Except we're now left wondering: who lives and who dies?

Are you saying that you don't like the actors?
