    Sorting Hat Forum seems to be defunct and I think that in general google should be directed to something that is a description of forum rather than messages from admins.

    EDIT: Both are from messages displayed to not logged in people.

    It's not defunct, it's just hidden from full members. New members have to post there to prove they're not bots and get posting privileges; once this has occurred they become full members and thenceforth cannot see the Sorting Hat forum.

    Yes, it changed a few months back when we were attacked by bots. You wouldn't have been affected as you joined a year ago. The only people who can see the forum are staff and accounts with 0 posts (or newly registered people, one or the other).
