7chan, ok what the hell!?

Me and my buddy were talking about funny shit we had seen on the net, and he tells me about this site; my mind was blown up after the first page of the "random" section, the most popular thread was jailbait, it had nearly 400 images on it, thats a child porn thread as far as I'm concerned. Also, one of the sub-sections on the site was titled "loli" you can guess what that means.
We aren't very good friends anymore.

Just wanted you guys to know that if this site ever comes up in your travels stay away from it, it is child porn related.

P.S. Sry all, this shit just pisses me off.

But seriously, 7chan's not that bad. I mean sure it gets a couple jail bait threads every now and then, but its 12chan that actually has sections devoted to it. In general I actually find 7chan's /b/ to be more intelligent on average than 4chan's(even if 4chan does produce more content)

Since were making irate posts about pornography and things we hate, I'll add in my two cents.

What pisses me of is that eggnog is a seasonal drink. Now you don't hear me complaining that 7-chan has morally dubious and legally shady pictures of eggnog containers in compromising positions and/or attire now do you?

I'm defending 7chan because it produces a good amount of content that isn't CP, that I find amusing. Not because of your weak innuendo that I'm a pedophile.

Lets hypothetically say there was a pedophile on this site that didn't know about 7 or 12chan. You just introduced them to it. Congratulations. You've helped spread CP across the intrawebs. Have a cookie, Maestro.

Now, because of its infallibility:rolleyes: I'm using Wikipedia for all the legal arguments I'm making. It probably grossly simplifies and misinterprets US and Canadian law, but it should be enough to get the general gist of it for this argument.

This is apparently the US definition of child porn, at least according to wikipedia.

The six standard for identifying CP:

Whether the focal point of the visual depiction is on the child's genitalia or pubic area


Whether the setting of the visual depiction is sexually suggestive, i.e., in a place or pose generally associated with sexual activity


Whether the child is depicted in an unnatural pose, or in inappropriate attire, considering the age of a child


Whether the child is fully or partially clothed, or nude


Whether the visual depiction suggests sexual coyness or a willingness to engage in sexual activity


Whether the visual depiction is intended or designed to elicit a sexual response in the viewer.

Now, if I remember correctly, the majority of 7chans servers are in the USA(the remainder being in France). So while the odd jail-bait thread could potentially produce a few pics that could be called CP if introduced into a court, a good amount are not(technically) CP.

Now lets look at Canada's CP laws(once again according to the almighty Wikipedia)

"Under the Criminal Code provisions in Canada, material that shows someone who is or is "depicted as being" under 18, and is engaged or "depicted as engaged" in explicit sexual activity, is classified as "child pornography". Photographs of the genitals or anal region of someone under 18, "for a sexual purpose", are illegal.


It wouldn't be unreasonable to say that, I don't know, those odd US brand CP pictures wouldn't be illegal for you to view? Strange, how according to Canadian law, their is absolutely no CP on 7chan at all? I wont argue with you about CP on 12chan. /girl/ and /jb/ are for the most part blatant CP.

But please,STFU about 7chan. It only has the odd pic that might be considered CP in the US, and supposedly they get deleted(and those most likely are not even CP in Canada).

So let me sum this up for you, in case you got frightened of all the big, bad, paragraphs and skipped right to the end:
