OK, who here is a fan of football? I'm bringing this up because since Friday, all I've been seeing everywhere is Cincinnati Bengals stuff and its bugging me. I'm not a fan of football but that's all I've been hearing. Everyone was waiting for the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers that just kicked off a few minutes ago. It doesn't help that this is the Bengals first time in the playoffs in a while. This game is all anyone's going to be talking about for the next week...
Anyways, who here is a fan of football and what's your favorite college or NFL team?

Colts! This is the year!
And I watch nearly all the NFL I can. That second play for Cincy's offense was just crushing. Sucked just watching it. Kitna's playing good though. Cincy's still got a good shot in this game.
Not that anyone can beat my Colts this year anyways. Not when they got something to play for.
Haha, holy shit, that 42 yard play, amazing.

Look guys we all know that the Eagles are winning the Super Bowl this year.
They faked the Whole Terrell Owens thing, as well as McNabbs injury.
Just watch. . . They were to good so the NFL wouldnt let them in the playoffs, they just said "look let a few other teams win, and just relax, chill, and wait for the Super Bowl."
EAGLES WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR!!! JUST YOU WAIT!!!
They will beat the Indianapolis Colts 95-0 because their defense will stop smoking weed before games and Brian Dawkins will go straight hardcore on the Colts cowardly recievers. Then The Axe-Man will cometh down upon Peyton Mannings head and break him in half for a 500 yard loss.
And all this will happen during the first half.

Football? A sissy sport? ::snorts:: I would love to see you say that to any of the guys that play the sport.

On the subject of Rugby, That_Boy, can you do that silly dance your country does before every game? I understand that it's meant to be a war dance to scare the other team, it just make me laugh at how stupid they look though.
On the subject of American Football. I can watch it and pretty much follow whats happening. I can't seem to muster the same passion for it as I do for real football (soccer) though, perhaps it's because I don't actually support a team. Baseball though... urg... how the fuck can you guys sit there and watch that shit? Honestly, it's almost as dull as cricket.

To be fair, baseball is fun if you're actually playing. But, I agree with you, it bores the hell out of me when I'm watching other people play.
And wasnt' it you English who started the whole thing with cricket?

Well I personally wouldn't say that to them, but any rugby player would. Cricket and Baseball are fun to play but crap to watch.
Now soccer really pisses me off, I can't imagine a mainstream sport that is more dull to both play and watch. I also don't like the attitude associated with the fans.
Rugby...Sport of the gods, incomperable. Sorry but it's just better.

Hmph. From my understanding, Ame-Foot is just guys in padded suits running around stealing balls and crashing into each other. No offense meant of course; that's just what I see. Soccer, same concept, just with no padded suits and tackling. Again, no offense. Baseball? Only fun if you're actually playing. Cricket? Same thing.
Rugby? Never quite played or understood it, so can't say anything about it.
Sports for me? Basketball and martial arts do just fine. You get to throw and bounce balls, and hit people. Respectively, of course.

The only good sports are ones where I can sit on the sidelines and sleep. Even if I'm playing, I find it all less than interesting.

You sissy girl! :P
Yeah, the only sport I can stand to watch is basketball, since there's always something going on. Plus, I love that sport. I can watch football, but only when there are other people with me rooting for the other team. Then its fun to rile them up and make them get pissed at me.

Football[American]: Great fun to play.
Baseball: Repitive, boring, tedious.
Basketball: Fun to play, hate to watch.
Rugby: Dont know wtf it is, dont care.
Soccer: Stupidest sport I've ever played. Run, score, run back, score, run, score. X_X
Martial Arts: Fun, takes talent. Easily the easiest to watch. Engaging.

So soccer doesn't take skill to play? And is BORING?!?!?! Maybe you're just not good at the sport.
What Martial Art do you partake in? I would more consider sparring a sport thats cool and fun.....but forms however....are quite boring actually, especially when watching people.....

I've had a few fights at Taekwondo but I had to give that up when I shattered my kneecap in a fight. I used to train with the guy that coaches the England Taekwondo team, I still remember fondly the day he missed the can he was kicking off my head and knocked me the fuck out.

Why all the hate on soccer (real football)? I've found that there's usually a direct relationship between disliking soccer and sucking at it.
American football? Fun to play anytime, fun to watch only 'round playoffs/superbowl. The same pretty much applies to basketball, tennis, and baseball IMO. Martial arts are STRICTLY for doing - competitions are dead boring.

Martial arts competitions are boring? Haven't you seen the crowds at the Under 18 All Valley Karate Championships? There were thousands there cheering. A huge 30 foot wall sized bracket of all the competitors... Man that's exciting shit.
You just gotta watch out for fights on your way back to your car.
Okay. Now I'm getting imagining Cobra Kai vs. Death Eaters to see who could lose to a barely competent pussy faster.
"Sweep the leg, Draco!"
"Yeah, get him a body bag!"
"There are worse things than death, Kreese. *tweak* Got your nose!"
Gah. I hate the sober hours of the day.

Love American football, been playing it since I was a snot-nosed little shitter. Basketball? Some stereotypes are true. Soccer? Hmmm... still confused as to why it's called Soccer here, and it's pretty damn boring... except for playoff time, and even then I can only watch few minutes at a time. Baseball blows donkey dick.
I've never watched a Martial arts competition except in various Chuck Norris movies, but I have watched the UFC, and the PPV matches are pretty badass.

Fair enough. When I say "watching" competitions, I mean watching them on tv; there's a huge difference between watching an event on tv and watching it live - even baseball is slightly more tolerable at the stadium. But for me, it's all about participation.
