This is awesome. Soon as I get a bigger Harddrive for my PS3, Im going to install Ubuntu. Gonna test this out with something. Looks awesome.

On a side note, should I play Bioshock, COD4, or Crysis next? Just finished Rainbow 6 Vegas, which was good, but I beat it in like 5 hours.

 

Personally, I liked COD4 more then Bioshock. Though I've never played Crysis, I really want to get it sometime.
After I get a better computer......

personally, I'd go for Bioshock, but I didnt like Call of Duty much and havent played Crysis yet.

As for Only works with Linux... As I know of, there isnt any way to install Windows on the Playstation 3. But you can stream to Linux, Vista, or XP according to the site.

MP4 quality Audio and Video up to 3200 by 2400 Res. Not a bad bit of software.

The varied How it works, FAQ, and Membership info for specs and what not...

 

Not to be a spoilsport, but it isn't *that* amazing. It's just VNC over a network. All the console or second computer is doing is showing the output of your computer and relaying your control data.

It would have been impressive if the PS3 actually pulled some of the weight though.

/Amerision's computer would crash at the mere screenshot of Crysis

OMGAWD! Lioke one step closer! Seriously though... Posting from Yellowdog Linux on PS3 right now. No real problems I can see as of yet. I don't notice any difference in this or a PC running Linux, but I haven't done anything hugely intensive either.

Gonna install Civ4 later to test this out, I think. Will post Speedtest results of the Wifi later when it isnt 5AM and shit...

I just have this think about one monitor for my PC, and since I have the extra one, no point in letting it sit around collecting dust. @_@

I mean I have old 3 monitors in the house, plus the 22 LCD, plus the 32TV.

But I keep the 32 lcd in the living room for a TV + run a cable to it for the PC use when we want to watch a pirate movie, then the 22 lcd is for everyday use in the bedroom where my system is. The other 3 are crt's that are either for backup, for future systems, or I just havent bothered with yet.

 

LOL yeah... the 42 Inch I primarily use for PS3/Xbox and for Cable, but I'm just really fucking lazy some times. Moving 3 feet is a fuck of an effort...
