Angst? ......I'll take a look anyways.
    :facepalm
I remember where this was mentioned now.
Off to a good start aren't we?

Jiji is an informal term and should never, ever have the word 'the' placed in front of it.
Back to scavenging through the Library it is.

I just read The life and times of Hatake Kakashi, nukenin and really enjoyed it. It's an alternative universe piece where Kakashi is shunted back 3 years into the body of an Kakashi that left Konoha. It's mostly a character piece, with some cute moments and enjoyable prose. It's only 14k words and has yet to have any real plot movement, though I didn't mind. I would call it a decent time waster at the moment.

Not the best technical writing but an entertaining story nonetheless.

Edit: actually wait, this is the one I was thinking of. https://m.fanfiction.net/s/10873281/1/

The link in the above post is well written technically in addition to being entertaining.

I think that one was on continuation of the original after chapter 2 by a different author (with permission).

I tried Kaleidoscope, and holy shit you guys were right. The first part was pretty good - compelling, even, at points. The second part was batshit insane; I've literally never seen a fic go downhill so fast, not even Chunin Exam Day.

Fuck that, you can't get a review describing a train wreck of that nature and not investigate.

Read both parts, you can do it!

Had what looked like 2 italicised words per each small paragraph too.

Just finished reading it. First arc was great, second was okay, and everything after was absolute garbage. Yeah, that was... an experience for sure.

I'm disappointed in you all. That is too many words for me to read knowing it is going to fail.

It's story time, tell us what happened.

I checked the Part 2 of the Kaleidoscope series story Tender Moments...

With no context this is amazing. I understand smut stories that have a stupid plot for smuts sake but this story means the main story has these plot events going on. Damnnnn.

I think the last line of the epilogue is really what you should read to see the train wreck in it's full glory.

I did. Holy shit. I'll put it in spoiler tags for the others to read:

"Realizing chakra violated basic thermodynamic principles, HirokAI eventually consumed the entire Universe and all of its neighboring dimensions via the Shar-Rinnegan. Fortunately for all the other species of life everywhere and everywhen, Hiroki had possessed the good sense to include literally everything with two neurons (or equivalent structures) to string together into the AI’s parameters for upload. The party never ended."
