That Kanye joke is great. Have to say I don't see what's funny about the concrete one though.

 

The band Nickelback has, from what I've observed, received a lot of shit from the internet over the years. Since most people make those IT jokes about something desirable being down in the sewers and whomever its addressed to in the image hauling ass to get there, when Pennywise says that Nickelback is there in this one the community promptly seals the sewers to trap them together. Got a moderate chuckle out of me since that was the first time I'd seen the meme played out like that.

Zero reason at all, just more internet shit that everyone does for no reason because you know, everyone else does it so they do it too. It was originally because all their songs sounded the similar, like pretty much every other band in existence.

Edit 2: Also, Nickeback. They're super generic, but they're generic for a reason. They were original and they brought a lot of nuance to an older genre and a lot of people copied them and eventually, some outdid them. So they're no longer the biggest fish in the pond because the pond has grown, but the pond without fish is life without death. Immortality without birth. 1('s) & 0 and shit.

Nickleback is great, but I would say that the Chris Daughtry (It's not Over being his best shit), is the biggest shit in the pool and it's piss in the wind compared to some of the older classics.

I'll also chip in that I like Nickelback. Not all of their stuff but they have some good tunes from time to time. Seconding Daughtry, though I haven't heard anything from him in a while now.
