    Thanks, mate. I appreciate this.

Hard to find good stuff. They often bash characters, mostly Akane and everyone not Ranma and whoever happens to be the love-interest. Making Ranma this weird, bizarre, super rational and reasonable character and everyone else the devil. Naturally, Ranma, after defeating Sauron, somehow has become a god or god defeater and is thus invincible...

You see the problems there xD Claymade and Lathis were the two authors who really got everything right that I can see, from atmosphere, to characters, to action, to plot.

The problem there is, both are crossovers and while I generally love them, I want to read good pure Ranma as well and didn't really find that. It either is angsty or bad >_>

Thanks, will look through this list.

Hey Yak, iirc you were an old fox in the ranma fanfiction fandom, right? Do you know any good non crossover fics without bashing or maybe something like Ranma exlploring his female form(not smut)?

If you're on a bit of a 'SI' kick, here's one to try out if you haven't already. It's called 'Of the River and the Sea' by Aleycat4eva and is pretty decent. Good bits are good, on par with the best bits of Deja vu no Jutsu, and the meh bits are brief and skimmable.

There's also 'Walk on the Moon' by SixPerfections, that I would rate below Vapors but above Deja vu on the technical side of things, but iffy on certain aspects of characterisation.

    Enjoy, if you haven't already.

I signed up mainly to thank you for the review of Setanta. People liking my work is fine and dandy, but it's the people who don't like it that teach me the most about how to improve it. I know that my writing style isn't for everybody, and I can never make it appropriate for everybody. That doesn't mean that I can't stand to learn more from the people who don't enjoy it.

Don't worry, I won't try and explain my choices in the story to you unless you ask. I'm not that insecure. I can, however, see how the characters may not have gripped you; I don't think I gave people enough of a pop at the beginning, nothing to immediately make them interesting. I went with too much of a slow burn with the story. Had I stuck to the original plan of writing it in media res, during a dramatic point that's coming, it might have helped. Thank you for that. You've given me some things to think about for future projects.

Posted here to avoid further thread derail.

I appreciate the good intentions, but the framaroot thing doesn't work anymore. People worked it out like within days of release, but then the system got patched and it's out. It's still possible to root the phone by hooking it up to a computer and doing some techno-magic, but it ivalidates the warranty. Hopefully I'll be switching to a new phone in a few months anyway, so I'll wait and get myself something with a proper Android, or an actual WP if I feel like a rebel.

No. To be honest the solutions were beyond my skill to parse. I couldn't really understand them.

I resolved it by just unplugging the 3G USB modem. The guy didn't really need it anymore except when travelling anyway.

Yak, I'm curious. Did you ever resolve this issue?

I ask because, as I said, I'm just curious and want to know if the suggestions worked.

Nope, I'll go there right now. Oh, I recognise that [H]. That's Hard OCP. Didn't even realise those folks were still around.

Man, I seriously want to facepalm myself seeing my early posts in DLP. Sorry about that.

DLP is an excellent cure for idiocy.

'All hail Dark Lord Potter'. :
