Tom Riddle centric and a surprisingly good read. Grammar and spelling is pretty good, if not excellent, and it makes an interesting insight into a younger Tom Riddle's mind.

I have forgotten the very name men called me.
The axe and flint-tipped spear are like a dream,
And hunts and wars are like shadows. I recall
Only the stillness of that sombre land;
The clouds that piled forever on the hills,
The dimness of the everlasting woods.
Cimmeria, land of Darkness and the Night.

I liked how it ended, gave an interesting insight into Tom's psyche. At heart he's still a child, trying to find out how the world works. On top of that he's still a demented murderer but he'll never truly be human...

I thought was really good, it kept me engaged at any rate and that is becoming a hard thing to do these days.

I loved this.

The characterization of Tom/Voldemort was pretty solid, and Purdita's sad devotion to him was great. Mrs Cole's confused old mind was not confusing at all; the writer did a good job of describing the shifts in time and place seemlessly. I want to read more stuff by this author. 5/5

It was good. The author does do a fairly good job describing Tom psyche, not perfect but closer then most authors get. Overall the description and scenery were well done. 4/5

That was pretty good, I would give it 4/5. A great one-shot, nice find.

Good fic captures Voldemort well. Only Voldemort would kill someone who loves him, take out her heart and put a Horcrux in it. 4/5

That was quite a necro, but, I think worth it.

I enjoyed the story, especially since it gave a glimpse of the Dark Lord before, when he was still a young man and not the one whose name would not pass the lips of most people. However, I don't think Lord Voldemort would ever have put part of his soul in anything as fragile, literally and figuratively, as a young girls broken heart.
