Tavi's stunted growth
I just read through the the books up to Princep's Fury and it occurred to me that Isana really had no need to stunt Tavi in any manner, or even let him think that he was an orphan and not her son. Obviously Septimus never publicly stated he was married or was about to have a child to anyone, except perhaps his closest friends and even then, not to all of them. Some of the people in the camp might have known about their relationship, but if they had then there would be no point in trying...

Ebook- First Lords Fury.
Just finished Princeps Fury and went to pick up my copy of FLF today only to find that they ordered me in the 3rd book and it would take another 3 weeks to get FLF for me. So Ive been browsing around the net and can't seem to find any place that will allow me to get the ebook in Australia. Anyone know of a site that would have it? Or possibly any site that would have it for me to download? Cheers for any help.

First Lord's Fury [Spoilers]
Obviously there will be spoilers, cover your eyes & ears while humming a little tune in this thread if you don't want to know them. Anyway, I ended up downloading the book through B&N's ebook site, which I highly recommend that no one ever use again. Required me to verify my purchase no less than three times, with a credit card number, before I could even read it. (This is after I had completed the purchase). Only upside is that I had the book at 12:15 AM today. I ended up liking it, but...

Map of Alera
http://www.jim-butcher.com/pics/map1920x1200.jpg Butcher has put up a map of Alera on the website. Not quite how I imagined it would look, especially Calderon Valley. I had in my mind Garrison was on the western end of Garrison not the eastern end. I was also thinking Appia, where Magnus and Tavi were in Cursor's Fury wasnt all that far from the Elinarch.

Something I found annoying.
I have recently reread the whole series, and, in doing so, I was really annoyed by something. Throughout the series, it seemed that all the other races of Carna had a complete and utter moral high ground on Alera. The reasons for this where, in my opinion, fairly stupid. While I acknowledge that slavery and in-fighting are important issues, both the Marat and Canim in-fight. The Icemen may to, but we know relatively little about them. In addition: The Marat make a point of eating their...

Metal Furies
I basically devoured the first to books, and something comes to mind. It's been established that, at least among folks out on the frontier/country, Alerans' furies take particular forms and identities. Except metal (of course, few metalcrafters are present in the main cast, but bare with me). This makes some sense, if you consider that unlike air, water, and earth (and fire, if you just want to go with combustion and oxygen in the air as its manifestation), metal isn't exactly abundant....

Princep's Fury
It came out today. :awesome I haven't had a chance to get it yet, as I'm at work, but I can't wait until 6. <_< If you want to talk about the book, talk about it here, and please use spoiler tags. (spoiler)(/spoiler) Exchange the parentheses for the normal brackets and you're golden. If you don't, I'll kill you. :)

The Codex Alera
So... I went to the book store to get into Dresden, I searched for Jim Butcher, and lo and behold a vast amount of books with Dresden in them! And then... I noticed they had multiple copies of every book in the series except the first one -_-. So, I picked up the first book in the Codex Alera series. Read it straight through in one night. Fucking loved it. I figured we could use a new thread about this awesome series, mainly because the next oldest thread I found mentioning them was a...

Regarding Codex Alera
Ok, so after having gotten into Dresden Files thanks to Shezza, and after reading the first 6 DF books, I decided to try Butcher's Codex Alera series after hearing good things about it here. So I'm reading through the first CA book, and I have a question: Does Tavi remain furyless for the whole series? Don't post spoilers, just a yes or no is sufficient. I love everything about the book so far. I ploughed through the first 200 pages in a few hours, and this is the only thing that...
