Okay, so this randomly come up in IRC and none of us can seem to work out what happened. Voldemort 'killed' Harry in the forest, yet later on inside Hogwarts, his wand fails because Harry is it's true master. So why did it work against Harry in the forest? I can't remember if it ever states that Voldemort uses a different wand for the act or what, but from what I can remember, it is the same wand - the Elder Wand. It could be possible that this is one massive plothole.

Lily Potter! Why does most everyone from DLP like Lily? This question slapped me in the face today after I read the small post about Harry's respect/like/dislike of Snape in this forum. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that Lily did anything that we or anyone should dislike her for (except maybe being friends with Snape=p). Ok. I need some help from you Deathly Hallows canon experts. Long story short, on another forum, I got in an argument with someone over whether or not Harry liked Snape by the end of the book. Yes, in the *gag* epilogue we find out that Harry named one of his children after him. But in rereading the book, I cannot find any indication that Harry had anything more than respect for the man. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Dumbledore had explained that Harry's invisibility cloak could protect him against any spell even Death, so how is it that in HBP Dumbledore immobilized him right before he died? Was it just because of the Elder Wand or is the Cloak not really one of the DH's? Remember in the 7th book Harry never got around to really proving it and if Dumbledore did, well we really dont know anything at all as to what he did. :?:

Well I had the strange feeling that I had saw that some where before and after talking with my brother I found my answer. There is a scene in The Matrix where Neo is shot by Agent Smith and dies, but comes back to life by using part of Agent Smith. That scene made me wonder if Jk had used that scene from The Matrix. Hey, I was re-reading OoTP for the fic I'm writing and something came up that seemed really off considering the new info on wands we go from DH. During the DA sessions they practiced stunning and disarming eachother. This seems to be quite the crappy idea if you look at it from a wand perspective. Voldemort's ability to fly = what the Death Eaters and Order did in the DoM in the OotP movie? The imagery is very similar, and both let you fly, though of course it messes up movie-book integration (but then since when did they care about that?).

MSNBC News Article -- HP Encyclopedia Apparently Rowling will be making an encyclopedia, I think probably for charity (otherwise she's milking the series by being a cunt). It'll discuss the characters and it looks like it'd be written from the perspective that it's 2016 (19 years later epilogue). Does anyone besides me think it was pretty stupid for the ministry under Voldemort's control to put the Taboo on Voldemort's name? Any underground organization with enough spite could have used it fairly effectively to kill off quite a number of death eaters and death-eater sympathizers: Coordinate an `ambush` wherein teams of Order members, or other people on the run all hide using muggle means (the Taboo may cancle out a disillusionment charm, but it won't make a pile of leaves fly...
