An idea's been bouncing around in my head lately and I wanted to take a look at how other authors have approached having someone other then Minato as Hokage/someone else takes over instead of reinstating Sarutobi. They don't have to be long, or complete, just a different feel to Konoha. A different approach to leadership.

 

I'm just here to get steal my thunder god out of the way even though it's probably not what you're looking for.

 

There was one where Sarutobi nominated Itachi as his second successor, but for the life of me I cannot remember the title. Itachi ruled as Godaime Itachi, not Godaime Uchiha Itachi, and at one point the Fire Daimyo ordered him to kill an opposing noble personally as a show of power.
