1. Hey Guest, welcome back to DLP

As you can see, we've changed our look. We've migrated from vBulletin to the Xenforo forum system. There may be issues or missing functionality, if you find anything or have feedback, please check out the new Xenforo Migration Feedback forum.

Our dark ("Dark Lord Potter") theme is under heavy development. We also have a light ("Light Lord Potter") theme for those happier with a light background and darker text.

So yeah. I have over eight years bar and nightclub experience yet in a city of countless pubs and clubs, I still find myself unemployed.

Frankly i'm sick of it. I'm sick of the constant stream of silence and rejections despite having a kick-ass CV. So I've come up with a plan.

I'm going to take pictures of myself and shoop phrases such as, "Seriously guys. Hire me. I'm pretty awesome" on to them. Then I'm going to post them to Nightclub facebook pages and have people like the shit out of them.

Yeah. It could backfire drastically and I could receive a torrent of abuse but I don't care. I'm desperate. And if I do get some serious abuse, well... at least screenshots can be posted for the good of the lolz.

If anyone if willing to help me out I would be extremely grateful.

[IMG] Maybe something like, "Clearly I'm mature enough for steady work."

I even got my hair cut. Model citizen. I dunno. I'm realizing I'm not very good at this. D:

Any and all suggestions, serious or joking are appreciated.

This should help. No idea what a good caption would be, though.

PS. You kinda remind me of a relative of mine

Let me know if you want different colors for background / you, or another caption.

The Sepia idea HoS used was another one I liked but he beat me to it. Will try to come up with at least one more ;)

While I was in Ireland, I found the easiest way to get a job was to apply for it in as unconventional a manner as possible. I got a job as a bartender in Galway at Roisin Dubh the day I arrived in town. I wrote down my 'CV' on the back of a drink coaster and gave it to the manager. Was pretty pleased when I got a call back that night to come in for my first shift.

Also worked at BKs (a wine bar down around Spanish Arch) for a while. I can't actually recall how I got that job, but I know I never printed out a CV while I was there, so... ?

This seems like a pretty decent idea if nothing else is working. Good luck.

You worked in the Roisin? That's my usual spot. Great people there.

Oh and the reception from this idea has been massive. My last job hunt took 3 months and 150 CVs before I got a job. Right now I'm ready to start my first job offer in Monroe's, actually across from the Roisin. I'm sure you know it, Sechrima!

It's only a trial at first but hell yeah. Once again, DLP has a positive affect on my life. <3

Free room and drinks in Ireland. And I won't even rape you. That's not an offer many people get.

Seratin, we still need to meet up. Hit the bar hard in Fibbers for some terrible pints then stumble down to CP, fail with the ladies and get in a fight outside Supermacs at 3AM.

Or hit Coyotes and use our souls as bargaining chips for entry. Not gonna need them after that place anyway...

Downstairs in storage. Only for special nights. They do have a massive flat screen where people can play FIFA 13 when they've given up on striking out with Galway's lowest women.
