We started Dark Lord Potter with a vision of delivering incredible, amazing, and interesting fan fiction content to the world. We’ve come a long way in the last nine years: from Independent Harry Potter with harems of slutty underage girls to incredible epics that span several hundred thousand words. This is all thanks to the incredible and active community that Dark Lord Potter has developed. Throughout the years we’ve defined what it means to be true Harry Potter fans (within reason and without being tools about it.)

A few months ago, the CTO & Owner of FanFiction.Net Xing Li and the administration team sat down on Skype to talk about where fan fiction is headed, read some of our more interesting works, and discuss how we could work together to bring our visions to millions of people. As we talked more, we discovered that our two websites shared an even deeper vision of creating a platform for new fan fiction that will allow billions of people to enjoy the content that we produce in ways never before imagined.

Today, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve joined forces with Fanfiction.net to create the best fan fiction forum in the world.

At first glance, it might not seem obvious why Dark Lord Potter is partnering with Fanfiction.net, a company focused on producing wank material for underage girls and boys involving homoerotic vampires and eccentric billionaires with autoerotic asphyxiation aspirations (FFN, not DLP… or is it?).

But when you consider it more carefully, we’re culturally aligned with a focus on innovating and producing the highest quality content possible. We believe that fanfiction drives new innovative authors to the forefront; we want to contribute to a more open, connected fanfiction environment. We both can agree that combining our forces is the next step.

Most important, FanFiction.Net understands the potential for the various fandoms. The admins and their team share our vision for complete and utter saturation of the fanfiction landscape. We believe that coercing people to produce subpar content is the way of the future. Together we strive to separate the strong from the weak and shun those who do not possess the talent or drive to be the best, the very best, the best there ever will be.

FanFiction.Net believes that might makes right, and we here at DLP can wholeheartedly agree. Admins should be given full control over every aspect of a given website, and any user that disagrees should be banned and the content that they have posted should be extricated and forever destroyed. Streisand is a myth.

This partnership is one of the most important moments for fanfiction and the progression to a unique unipower system. It gives us the best shot at truly changing the world. It opens up new opportunities for power abuse, verbal abuse and every other type of abuse that we here at DLFF.NET want to encourage! This partnership reduces the risk on our part and provides resources for future expansion and influence of young minds.
