    I am looking for any author's notes where the author talks about how they made several attempts at this chapter but it still isn't quite right, or anything similar.

    This is for a discussion on the linguistic use and cultural context of "Blah. Whatever". I am arguing that it is primarily focused on dismissing the speaker's feelings of frustration or disappointment rather than on dismissing the subject matter.
