One of the silliest ideas I've seen in a while - a competent Lockheart! Oh he's still a fame-seeking jerk, but in this one shot, he has the skill to back it up. Pretty weird characterization, but undoubtedly original.

All in all, not an exceptional story on its own merit, by an unusual idea makes it a worthy read IMO.

    3.6/5

Good recommendation, Ip. This is the first time I've seen competent!Lockheart. He wasn't an untouchable master either (shown by losing his wand to Voldemort's memory), so it left a touch of believability.

Funny and a touch absurd, but very well written and thought out. I have never seen Intelligent!Lockheart before, but I must say it was strangely... refreshing.

The potential pitfalls from plot holes were covered beautifully, as was the introspection into his character. IP, you really found a jewel in the rough here; I would have never even have bothered to look for something like this it hadn't been suggested.

4/5 for pulling off a very original, refreshing story. Not perfect, but pretty damn good.

I don't know why but I just don't like the thought of an intelligent Lockhart. It was well written and the plot was good, but Lockhart is my all time most hated character. Meh, I'm too tired to work it out now. I'll review properly tomorrow.

4/5 cause its a good story but I just don't like the premise.

I have to admit that this is probably the first time I've Ever seen an Intellegent Lockheart too. I found it funny in a rather Ironic way that the author of this fic had Lockheart addmitting that about the only spell he couldn't do very well was 'Oblivate'.

Above average story, But still not perfect.

Very strange, but original too. I don't think anybody's done something like that before. 4/5

Amusing, but I must agree with Aekiel. I simply do not like the idea of an intelligent Lockhart. Especially since I prefer for our favorite Harry Potter to be the one who actually accomplishes things... meh. 4/5, for a well written and original story.

That was a good story. I was actually quite surprised by how believable it was. Although, I didn't like how the Basilisk was defeated.

You know, I grew to like this Lockhart, despite him being as much as a fame-seeker as he was in canon.

Nice, but I don't like competent Lockhart either. 4/5 for an original and well-written work.
