Really cant wait for this one, it looks like its going to be fun without being to slapstick.

Also from the trailer, the dynamic between the two looks good; actual flirting instead of the stock unresolved sexual tension normally seen with male/female partnerships on these sort of shows.

    OH SNAP

I cannot wait to see Fillion again. Did he ever act in anything else that was decent?

If you haven't watched Doctor Evil's Sing Along Blog, I may have to cut a bitch.

    Looks awesome, though. Nice find.

So anyone watch Castle last night?I thought it was good for the first episode, except for one thing, and that's the premise of the whole thing.

I just can't get my head around having the police allow Castle in on investigations for "research" on a book.Him joining in because of his knowledge of the books, I found believable; but not after the case was over. The female cop was casted well, but some of her dialogue is horribly cliche and corny.

The pilot didn't blow me away, (but then show me one that has.) It will be interesting to see how this develops after the obvious connection of the book murders has gone.
Will the theme be that Beckett just does the 'freaky' cases or will they move into more familiar cop show territory?

I enjoyed it and I'm going to follow it; and give it a chance for the the actors/plot get into their stride.

First episode amused me. Hope they keep the humor instead of just developing into a cop drama.

This was like video Dresden to me. I love Fillion and wish he was taller just so everyone else would know he's the perfect fit for if they ever make a Dresden movie.

    "Tell me you saw that!"

Great pilot, excellent first episode. Can't wait to see more, as this finally gives me something to watch on tv again.

I liked it. Have to watch a few more episodes to rate it though.

Tonight's episode was pretty good, Twisty as shit and still good. Little less on the humor side though.

I didn't see the pilot (I'll probably watch it online today), but the second episode was fairly impressive. I think it might work a little better if he were an actual cop who did the writing thing on the side.

The character is fairly likable, but it's odd to see Fillion playing someone who prances, however so slightly. As good an actor as he is, he's a little too imposing physically to pull it off.

    Hawt cop chick is hawt.

To me, if the mayor was obsessed with the author, it could happen.

Officially speaking? I really like the poker game with the other authors. Killed me.

I like it so far. Hopefully - and I say this sincerely - his daughter turns out even better then she's been portrayed so far. She's kind of cool in her own way.

I wish the show luck - in the meantime, I'll be getting my kicks watching it. :D

Yep, definitely enjoying this one immensely. It'll help fill the void left by the departure of several of the shows I watch.

The new Castle was pretty good but to me not as good as the premier.

I like Fillion but the premise of the show is less than impressive.
T.V. is already full of cop shows with gimmicks that I don't watch.
Oh hey look its a guy making wise cracks while the serious detective gets annoyed.

    "It's about your mother..."

Fucking cliffhangers. At least this is one show that I like that looks like it's coming back.

I sure hope we get more of this one. I really liked three of ABC's midseason entries. Castle had the most likable characters, Cupid was surprisingly endearing, and The Unusuals occasionally tried too hard but hit a lot more than it missed.

Common sense tells us there's no way in hell an "author" would get to play detective like this, but if you just swallow that pill then all the characters are enough to carry the show. I mean I really like everyone in their roles here. Castle, Beckett, Castle's daughter, Castle's mom, the other cops, the captain, etc... Usually someone irritates the hell out of me but not here.

Which makes me skeptical this will last. Shows I like rarely do.

Honestly, I love this show. ;_; But I never see it all that often. It'll probably end up on DVD release eventually. :<
