Tech-minded DLPers, I have the following question.

I have this thing to edit.

The first image is a screenshot from the video I'm trying to edit, while the second image is a jpg photo that's been worked on. I'm trying to edit the video's coloring into looking like the second image. I'm using Sony Vegas 11.

The problem is, I can get the carpet's colors to match the picture, kinda, but it fucks the non-carpet area up colorwise.

If it's not possible with sony vegas, do you have a program to reccomend? Is it just entirely impossible?

That's a very dim video. If you had the ability to film it again I would use more natural light. Does Sony offer any kind of light filters? Seems you're having trouble applying it as a whole, but maybe try separating the two tones to get the same result.

I mean I haven't tried it with your picture, but there are a lot of color correction tools in most commercial programs. Sony Vegas definitely has some, as does Adobe Premiere/After Effects. You may have to fiddle around with settings or do harder things like create maps to get the color correction precise. Could be easy or a lot of work unfortunately.
