What if EVERYONE turned their back on Harry after the GOF incident, thinking he put his own name in? Now, alone and with no one to tell him how to act he decides to act on his "thirst to prove himself". He studies, realizing he has a half dead murderer after him, plus a dangerous tournement and realizes he can't let little bitches like Malfoy push him around, and starts to act more like Sirius and James Potter mixed with Tom Riddle. Can go anywhere from Dark Lord!Harry, to DarkbutLightside!Harry

Harry studying and becoming a badass after GOF = great.

His motivation being that everyone betrayed him, blamed him for Cedric etc... - lame and unrealistical. You need something better than that, something not so simple... Like finding about the Prohecy and finding that Dumbledore is intentionally keeping it away from him...

Personally, I think it's motivation enough having no friends and having a murderer after you. Think about it. Harry WAS a smart kid and he HAD a thirst to prove himself before he met Ron. The two things he wanted were respect and affection, and since he met ron he chose affection over earning respect through skills and he lets those who he loved control his life. If they werent there for him (Like they barely were in canon GOF and won't be in this challenge) then he would be free to develop his Slytherin side he had before he came to Hogwarts.

The Voldermort Series is going to take about three months to complete if all goes well. So it'll be a while....
