I'm going to hesitantly throw this one out there. A guilty pleasure at it's finest. It's a Harry that's discovered the internet and its abound with memes and stupid references. if you're a 15 year old at heart like I am you'll enjoy it. It's decently written, doesn't take itself too seriously and I found myself liking the fic despite initial hesitations. Give it a try.

EDIT by Minion: Moved here from the Almost Recommended thread. It definitely is worth its own thread.

I hate myself for laughing at that.

There is a certain restraint to it that makes it bearable. It could so easily been a lot worse but the little touches of Harry failing every now and again keep it grounded.

I moved this on the review board, because this really is the kind of guilty pleasure deserving its own thread. There have been a lot of similar attempts at internet!Harry, but rarely as good as this one.

It isn't brilliant, and it's definitely not for everyone's tastes, but I recommend to give it a try.

It was mildly amusing for a while, but not nearly amusing enough to make me read the whole thing. I got bored after a while.

I remember reading this a while ago. It was stupid, but funny stupid.

Don't go looking for any serious substance, but it's definitely worth a read.

I'll give it 3.5/5 rounded up to 4/5.

I liked it. It wasn't the greatest thing ever, and it dragged in a few places, but it did what it set out to do.

Ah. I recall reading this last year.

As a huge Nasuverse fan, I loved the not-so-subtle references it kept dropping now and then.

Plus, his Luna is batshit insane yet the funniest character ever.

    4/5

    EDIT:

Also, I recommend reading his Oneshot, Mudbloods. I laughed so hard while reading it people stared at me on the train =D

It wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either. The story had no notable weaknesses and yet nothing really stood out. It is a time-waster. Can't really recommend it. Its a 2.5 rounded to 3.

Mudbloods certainly is interesting. Fucking Mudbloods would have been a better title, but I think that would have been against ff.net rules. Shame that.

Are there any other stories like this, ones where Hermione's delusional social reforms cause more harm than good? A longer post-DH story based on Hermione's political career could be quite interesting, I think.

Someone wrote one on House Elves, where house elves turned out to be demons trapped in a different form, and Hermoine caused the doom of all of Mankind.

Don't recall who wrote it, read it a few years back.

I misread the title as 'Harry Potter, the Greek.'
Which, I imagined, would involve there being a nice shiny Shield of Gryffindor to go along with the sword and perhaps a scene where Harry and Nymphadora argue over what to call each other. 'Call me Tonks!' 'Call me Daddy.'

    This is not that fic.

It is, however, pretty good I guess. It is what it is.
It's one of those fics where you really can tell all you need to know from the summary. If the summary makes you want to read it you wont be let down. However if you read it in spite of not being particularly enthused by the premise, it's not so incredible that I'd expect you to find it enjoyable.

    Objectively, I'm giving it a 4/5.
It's not for everyone, but I imagine the library would be rather empty if the requirements were universal appeal rather than quality.

This is absolute rubbish, I had no idea why I kept reading it.

And then I laughed at the stupid jokes, self-referential humour, and utter balls in writing such a piece. Great fun, but as said above, if the summary interests you, then you'll like it, otherwise, you'll hate it.

I've actually read this twice. Yeah, guilty pleasure, but I like it. Stupid internet memes and anime stuff everywhere, but that's kinda my thing.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't pretentious and didn't take itself seriously. Perfectly willing to ignore small anachronisms for the sake of little jokes.

Not the funniest fic ever but points for ripping off enough different things to make it fun. 4/5

It's fucking stupid, but I can stop laughing. A 3.5 from me. Not exactly original or as smart as it tries to be, but it's funny as hell.
