Sure it would. D:
Agreed. But I really don't see someone managing to write such a story.
A villainous genious like Moriarty or Lex Luthor in the Harry Potter universe can be very entertaining. But good villains are never easy to write and they are even harder to write as the main character, There's also the case that the HP universe can't really accommodate an evil mastermind.
Indeed. Its like a good Bruce Wayne/Talia Al Ghul (Or replace with Poison Ivy or , Harley Quinn for that matter.) Of course, Harley is kind of an exception to what I was thinking.
What made Ra's and Talia great in the beginning was that they weren't fuckoff insane people with hugely insane plans. Ra's came off as competent and initially likeable. Of course, that may not be the same today, but thats still how I see them. ;-;
Also a random thought. Manbat. Thats all.
Weasley Twins and their prank on the 'bat of the dungeons' gone horribly wrong.
Here's an example of Harry the supervillain without writing him as Evil!Harry:

Huh. Well, I won't pretend to understand why this thread was necro'd, but if it interests anyone I actually have a little drabble into Harry deciding he'd become a 'superhero' - [link].
Villain protagonists and Hero Antagonists DO exist!
