   Is there any good fanfics out there for the series. I have tried FF and all I got were a few short stories that were horrible.

   Unless I'm mistaken, George R. R. Martin is strongly opposed to FanFiction being written based on his works -- therefore there isn't much of it out there to find. I think some sites even refuse to host much of it b/c of the author's wishes, but I'm not sure.
