Offhand, does anyone know if there are any Death Eaters with glasses in canon? There are many "good guys" and neutral characters with some sort of lenses on their face, but I'm drawing a blank for the nastier types.

Pff, watch it be someone obvious that I've forgotten...

Villians don't wear glasses. It decreases their evilness. Similarily Heroes don't appear without glasses. It decreases their goodness. :nyan:

Disabled Harry generally goes one of two ways:

    1. Genuine disability. Recall the disabled!Harry fic posted in For Review a while back. Does anyone want to read that?

    2. Fake disability. Some bullshit disability that is easily overcome because Harry's special, normally a way to gift Harry with unusual superpowers. Does anyone want to read that?

Just thought of a third option.

    3. 'Disability'. Harry's faking a disability to milk sympathy, gold, support, etc. from friends, family, and the general public.

Still not sure I want to read that either.

Fixing your eyesight is possible, but it takes a potion whose main components are pickled snidget spleen and the right testicle of a quintaped. All things may be possible with magic, but not necessarily practical to achieve...

    Huh..Dudley's colon.

    Tragic fate, that.

Was expecting him to try and do the same trick on Hermione, though.

Blind Harry never stays blind. And often ends up with Fleur, as the allure obviously doesn't effect him if he can't see her hair (or is it just that I go looking for H/Fl fics?).

Crippled Harry is boring to read. Physical or mental, a Harry like this is more difficult to relate to (so we care less about what happens to him), and is likely to either avoid problems, or stumble into them in a slapstick manner.

Mute Harry has possibilities - forced silent casting and such.

However, I started a mute!Harry fic a while back. All the teachers and such accept this. And then it turns out that there's no disability. Harry doesn't talk (or use notes for conversation, as that would be 'cheating'), as a friend died in front of him. And this is his way of remembering that friend.

    Red-exed that shit.

There is a mute Harry here: http://hpfandom.net/eff/viewstory.php?sid=1721

It's not really a bad story. It doesn't turn him into a Super Hero or anything, from what I remember. I've no idea if it's even up to DLP standards, however. But as most people here know, my own standards are pretty low set compared to some other members here, so you're taste is probably different than mine. Hope you like the story.
