I agree with everything above. Although you might consider putting certain parts of your post in [spoilers] kmfrank.

The server was moved and the latest chapter was accidentally deleted. It's up now though.

    Edit: Holy fuck, cached page.

I liked the battle...it was pretty good. It still had nothing on N's epic Dumbledore/Harry battle, though.

    I still think he's taking Hermione's
    miscarriage
rather... casually. I'll spoiler space that one for any innocent newbs...

Though I guess, given the update frequency, it may take a while before he can exact revenge without tipping his hand. I really hope he rains down some biblical levels of hellfire on someone for that, though, especially Croaker.

You know, instead of watching his own will reading while practically naked (heroic on a level equal to... to... Al Bundy watching TV in his boxers?) or lethally botched attempts at playacting in the village square, so to speak.

I was hoping for "I cannot be caged. I cannot be controlled. Understand this as you die, ever pathetic, ever fools!". And then evil laughter.

ah draco664's Harry is fucking wicked, nuff said.

I am particularly fond of his overzealous, albeit accidental use of explosives.

Hmmm, didn't know he was updating the series again. I've always liked the series. Although I have to agree with Warlocke though. It seems he's barely bothered by Hermione's
    miscarriage
I find that a bit hard to believe.

Eh, I don't really. He didn't know about it that much. And frankly, he doesn't want to have that kind of relationship with her anymore. If she hadn't miscarried, the situation would be a lot more complicated, messy etc etc.

I'm sure the miscarriage was plenty messy.

Yes that's true. However we're still talking about forced abortion on his ex girlfriend (who's still one of his best friends), and his baby.
But oh well, perhaps he's still planning the disappearance of Croaker.

If you've read All Night Long by Jeconais, you'll remember Harry has a necklace that makes him immune to memory charms, but I don't recall any Occlumency pendants in any story I've read.

As for the story, I've been reading this series since the author was partway through Journeyman Potter, and I've enjoyed most but not all of it. I like that this Harry is totally independent of Dumbledore but grudgingly recognizes he needs him to some extent, especially in the Horcrux business. One thing I didn't like was how Harry screamed at everyone in the first installment, although I can see his point of view in being fucked over by Dumbledore and the Ministry.

One of my favorite parts is Harry's excursion into the Vatican in Journeyman Potter, but maybe that's a bit biased coming from someone as vehemently anti-religion as I am... Any time a parsite gets a proverbial kick to the face is all right with me.

I have to agree with whoever said that the story seemed to be losing steam early on in Master Potter, and I had such high hopes given that the summary on FFA is "No More Mister Nice Guy". That loss of steam, coupled with the big gap between updates, had me worried that the author might abandon the story, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the new chapter up. After going back to read a couple prior chapters and get myself reacquainted with the story, I'm fairly optimistic that the story is on a good track, although I admit I don't see how the revenge factor is going to mesh with the original plot of finding the Horcruxes.

Like someone else said, I too am waiting for the Harry-dumbledore duel, since D'dore believes Harry has a Horcrux and is therefore now a dark wizard.

Just received an email saying that a new chapter has been posted...

/me goes off to read it while he should be finishing up his Apollo 13 research paper

    *edit*
God damnit, I have to go back and read the previous chapter again to get my mind back on what is going on
