A nice one-shot I found while looking for Vimes-centric fanfics. :sherlock:

It was very easy to see where this was going. And the time skips weren't handled brilliantly.

But by Io did it hit the tone perfectly. There were several sections that almost felt like Pratchett has written them himself.

    4/5, although maybe a 5. Can't quite decide.

Brilliant. By far and away the best attempt at Discworld fanfiction I've ever seen. It's the only time I've ever seen anyone get close to Pratchett's rather unique style. There were some lines in there that I could believe were written by Pratchett himself. And hell, it actually made me laugh.

    5/5.

Good fic. It wouldn't have held up as a long story, but works well for what it is. 4/5.
