    Title: Naruto and the Rocks
    Author: li.u 88
    Category: Complete, Epic Length.
Rating: M, for heavy, shocking violence and dark romance that will leave you depressed for a week.
    Pairings: Narutox?
    Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5200979/1/Naruto_and_the_Rocks
    Summary: Naruto plays with rocks.

I've noticed that the Naruto sub-forum was a little dead, and decided to add this excellent piece of fiction to it. If you will ever take a recommendation from me, take this one. li.u 88 had created what is most likely one of the darkest, Lovecraftian-esque stories in the Naruto series.

    5/5.

Story deleted on ff.net. If anyone knows of another place where the story can be found, please keep it to yourself.

To me it was only 3/5. While I admit there were some nice buildup with the lovecraftian horrors and the consequences I couldn't help but fell the author could have done more with the amazing start. I mean yeah the start was riveting but I felt that the author rushed the end a bit and if he had sat down and thought a bit more the ending could have played out a bit better than it did. The story was still great but...

STFU and GTFO, the story is absolutely perfect as it is. It is impossible to improve upon its perfection.

Is there an injoke from Naruto canon that you need to know in order to properly appreciate this.

Rocks are the most powerful force in the Narutoverse.

Rocks entomb monsters, crush cities, and most importantly, kill Uchihas.

Their amazing powers can not be understated.

Wow, I clicked the link with a little bit of doubt that the story could live up to my high expectations, and I have to say 5/5 to this one. Amazing characterization, the story was carefully crafted into a masterpiece and was concise without lacking in detail. One of the things in this fic that makes the author stand out and confirms his position as one of the greats in fanfiction writing is that he never once used the by now over-used words 'deal' or 'proposal', yet still managed to pump out a complete story.

Best Naruto fic I've ever read. If this doesn't make it into the library, I would lose a lot of respect for the people here.

Hmm. The pairings in this one threw me off for a little bit, but the sheer action all the way through the story was amazing. Honestly, I've been reading this and got around 1/3rd of the way through, and I've enjoyed every second of it. Amazing find.

Not really, the author, li.u posts of Ademonsdesire, which is pretty much DLP for Naruto. He's a bit of a dick/really blunt and hates all stories and reviews pretty harshly. So someone said 'Why don't you write something?', so he did.

I think "The End" should be taken out - it really subtracts from the subtlety that the story would otherwise have.

Besides, it's not truly the end is it? The rocks have hardly had their thirst quenched.

2/5 until my suggestions are applied

    Good point.

There is no such thing as immortality in the Naruto world - unless you are rocks.

Depends on what type of rocks you're talking about.

Clearly, Naruto failed to transform back from rocks in time during his fight with Pain. So he died.

While I admit the story was pretty epic, (a solid 5/5) it was SonicDH's review which made me laugh.
