Pretty much this. I'm waiting for X/Y to come out before I buy a 3DS just for that reason.

 

If the X/Y edition is anything like the DP edition DSlite, the Platinum edition DSLite, or the Black/White edition DSi, it'll be an inscription of Xerneas and Yveltal, which I personally don't care for that much.

Also I really do want to play some Black 2 and do some trading and battling between now and October.

So this is a thing that's now happening. Basically a 3DS with the 3D slider switched off and no separation between the two screens. Release date is set for October 12th, the same day as Pokemon X and Y.

Meh, retailing at $130. I can get a used 3DS xL for less than that.

 

Yea it's basically a 3ds for toddlers that might break the hinges.

I shut the 3d slider off at most times anyway to conserve battery, but that thing looks stupid as hell so I'm glad I got an XL.

As Epoxy said though, that's too high of a pricepoint.

The cheapest the XL goes for is still 170, I'm going for the bigger screen because of the huge difference. But I didn't even think of looking on Amazon so thanks for the help
