Meh, I'm saving my money for the Nintendo Revolution. Also for the Nintendo DS Lite. And for a knork.

Yes, and its not gay, its innovative. You don't like it, use the shell.

Ah that's what Nintendo said about the N64 and all it's cartoon heavy graphics, when all the major developers bailed on them, lol.

What the hell possessed them to use such an out of the norm controller I wonder, didn't they learn from the Power Glove that folks like normal easy to use controllers

Hence the shell, which suposedly turns the stick into a wavebird. But you gotta admit, the new controller would make FPS's kick ass on the rev.

I remember the old days when I would have gladly bought a Nintendo. Now I think I'd rather have a PS or an X-Box over anything Nintendo makes.

I don't like it... don't like it at all. Still, I suppose it could come in handy... I lost my telly remote weeks ago.

Bah, I hate that controller, screw the innovation. I don't think I'm going to get a Revolution, I'm saving up for a PS3. And Nintendo doesn't have that many great titles IMO. Mario, Super Smash Bros, and the other usuals.

Bah, I smite you all! The purpose of the Revolution is to appeal to the general audience, and to Nintendo Fanboys'girls, of which I admittantly fall into. I might get the PS3, but only after a big price drop and if there are any really good RPGs on it, not just FFCLX.

Now what the fuck is with that controller? I have a 64 and happily traded in my playstation for it ( I rebought one though ) but this just leaves me gobsmacked. Give me a joystick with the two buttons and I'm happy. Damn you Nintendo, damn you...

Nintendo is dying out in my eyes. There just going for gimicks(sp?) and kid stuff. Xbox has the best all around controller and PS is best for fighting games(Tekken and the like).

The Xbox has the worst controller. It's a huge ass thing that you have to get used to. I'd even take the "innovative" controller that the Revolution has than the Xbox's. In my opinion, the Playstation has the best controller. Playstation is actually best for RPG's.

I agree w/ Sree on this. Xbox controller = sucks, and PS = RPGs galore. But I still like Nintendo the best.

Nintendo rocked in the past, and is still good, but it needs to grow up a bit. I mean, look at the DS and the PSP. There's no contest. The PSP just looks, and has better graphics, than the DS.

But, the DS has sold MILLIONS more than the PSP. But yeah, Ninntendo DOES need to grow up a BIT, but not too much, otherwise the true Mario experience will be a thing of the past.

"As of Friday October 21, 2005, the PSP had shipped 10 million units worldwide.."

"Nintendo announced on December 26, 2005 that the the total worldwide sales of the Nintendo DS to near 13 million units in little over one year on the market."

Hardly the stupifyingly large amount you make it sound like. Yes it is indeed a few million more, but 10 months on the market from that time of that quote, versus 14ish months, ain't nothing to sneeze at. Especially when you consider how hard PSP's were to get for awhile, and the goddamned 220+ sticker price on them you often see, versus the ability to walk into Wal-Mart over here for 89-140 bucks depending on your selection of bundle packs.

I gave up on Nintendo after the 64, it's cartoony graphics were horrible, and the only reason they did so well with the Gameboy they're so proud of, was there was virtually no competition for the longest time. I have heard rumors however of a new Gameboy in development, I'll be interesting in seeing what they do with that. Maybe no buttons, it'll use fog matrix movement recognition, and it'll be innovative!

But the DS is much stronger than the PSP. My friend found a site where a guy did some resistence tests for DS versus PSP.

Test 1: Drop Test from 5ft.

    DS, nothing happens, still works

    PSP, screen cracks

PSP is out of the game

    Test 2: Freezer Test

Stuck the DS in a freezer overnight, still worked next day

    Test 3: Car Test

Ran DS over with a car. Top part came off, bottom screen still worked

    Test 4: Fire Test

Stuck the DS in a Fire. Didnt melt, still worked.

I'll get the site from my friend so that you can validate these claims by tomorrow night.
