Ender's Shadow is basically Ender's Game from Beans point of view starting off though with the beggining of Bean's life. Its awsome as hell and funny how basically Bean makes Ender look stupid.

Oh also the Assasin Trilogy I was talking about is the same as yours.

We seem to have pretty simular tastes since I didn't like Game of Thrones for the same reason and couldn't get through it at all.

I just finished the Fellowship, after a few months of avoiding the series, and I didn't like it.

    > The hobbits seem to have no fortitude at all.
    > Main plot revolves around greed.
    > Incredible amounts of filler with directions that I, frankly, couldn't follow. Out of fiction I expect a good read, not one where I have to look through maps in the back to figure out what the hells going on; thats when I read non-fiction.

I'm about to start The Prince by Maichevelli[sp].

Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind (Ninth book just came out on paperback)
This series starts out really good but slows down by about book 5-7. Good series because each book has a plot of its own to fellow but also has the main series goal in the back ground. Magic and swords.

Shannara series by Terry Brooks (Think its about 7-9 books long so far)
Only read The First King, Sword of Shannara, and The Elf Stone of Shannara
Rare magic, swords, and some war parts.

Wheel of Time By Robert Jorden (Think the 11th book is out in hardbound)
Yet again suffers the same as Sword of truth around the same book area. But it slow to the point nothing really happens. Heavy magic, swords, with some war

Eye of the Gods By John Marco
Light romance in the first half of the book. Low magic for abit, swords, with some war

Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffery is a good series, and has a dragon view that is to my knowledge unique.

I have just started Sword of Truth series (finished first book), and the first one was quite good, cant say for the rest but hope they are.

More scifi Ender's Games is a good read, at least I enjoyed it. Honor Harrington series by David Webber is sci-fi, but you have a lot of enjoyable moments.

Redwall series is a possiblity but no idea if its one you personally would enjoy or not.

In that thing you call a closet. Better watch out,
The Pendragon series is pretty good. It's by D.J MacHale, I like the series of course im 13 so maybe its not for the older people.

The Seventh Tower by Garth Nix is good, hell alot of his books are good. The Seventh Tower especially though, has a form of magic, and a group of warriors Ice something.

Elizabeth Kay The Divide. It's only two books but lort's of magic and magical creatures, Humans are mythical in the world the main character finds himself in.

Star Wars actually has some good books but thats more sci-fi.

I'd also like to recomend the DragonLance series. Artemis Fowl is also pretty good.

That's all I can think of right now so yea more later.

NOTE: I'm 13 the books above I mentioned might be more geared for kid's but if you want you can try them.
