That's actually a really powerful ability, it could be very useful in the meta

It's fucking way OP, that's what it is. It makes Toxic a God tier move. If this shit can learn Toxic spikes expect to be very sick of seeing it's face very soon.

Also, if it has an evolution, which looks likely, expect it to be an Elite 4 Pokemon.

I do not think its ability can be used with toxic spikes. I also do not think it will be fast or durable. If it was then it would be banned. I am willing to be a good sweeper can take it in one hit.

The new pokemon Mimicu looks like a pikachu that abused crack and meth for 10 years. The other pink bear thing look strange. Pink on top, black on the bottom and it loves to hug. Ash is definitely going to capture that one

Makes sense for a ghost/fairy type though.

I am excited for the new region, and the new starters are very nice. However, none of the other released pokemon excite me. Their designs, at least, haven't really made a huge impression on me. I mean, I can't even remember any names apart from Vikavolt, Tapu Koko and Cutiefly.

Excited for character customisation making a return, though. Also for the starter evolutions to be released.

Mimicyu is adorable. If you haven't read up on it, Mimicyu's schtick is that it just wants to be loved as much as Pikachu is, so it draws some markings on a cloth sack and wears it. Anyone who tries to take it off gets an illness courtesy of a Ghost/Fairy type.

I expect Magic Bounce and Magic Coat to be fairly prominent in this meta, then.

Some fun ones in this batch. The lei pokemon is appropriate to Hawaii, and we haven't had a horse since the electric one in BW and the Ponyta line.

This batch of pokemon looked good, apart from the bear and Wimpod. I feel like if Mimikyu's ability will make it very popular competitvely, especially if it can learn good support/annoying moves. You can send it out first and have it hold with Focus Sash.

That horse, Mudsdale, looks so cool. Will definitely try to catch and use one as long as they aren't totally useless.

It's a gigantic, 8 foot tall 2,000 pound horse titan. It's definitely looking like it'll be a first team playthru member, even if GameFreak makes its defense shit so it can take advantage of its badass ability (+1 defense when hit by an attack)... which would be so typical.

I wish I knew what "Highhorse Power" did.

Right now I'm at Litten - Vikavolt - Comfey - Mudsdale. I'm hoping the woodpecker, Pikipek evolves into something cool. I'm confident - the regional birds are generally pretty cool (let's just ignore the Pidove line, shall we?)

Heh. Comfey is a clever name.

Lol, this beats Cursed Child by several light years.

I love everything about the trailer. The Pokémon desgins are brilliant, Alola forms look interesting, the new abilities are great. I love everything about it. This is the winter release I am excited about.

Will be interesting to see how the new mechanics play out in the meta.

Alola forms look intriguing, although I wonder if they're in-battle, only whilst holding a set held item, or a flat out change - all sandshrew are now alolasandshrew.

Also, it looks like they've changed the gym system - four minor gyms, each backed by a major gym? Or am I misunderstanding that?

Wow, they're really introducing new ideas for Sun and Move. I love that certain Pokemon now seem to have region-specific forms with different types. I want a white Vulpix. :(

All forms like Executor are interesting and make sense. Nine tails becoming an ice type though?

With mega evolutions, totem Pokemon, Z-moves and Alola forms this he's meta is gonna be a clusterfuck.
