Title: I'm a Search and Rescue Officer for the US Forest Service (SAR).
    Author: searchandrescuewoods.
    Rating: T.
    Genre: Horror / Mystery.
    Status: Complete.
    Fandom: Original.
    Pairings: None.
Summary: Weird things go on in forests, and this SAR officers want to share.
Link: Reddit series: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Final.

This is in a different style than the regular stories posted to DLP. They were posted in separate parts on nosleep and contains the sometimes interconnected tales from a SAR officer about where he works. Sometimes the stories are told by him, others are second hand from coworkers, but all are strange, scary, and often sad. There's a link at the bottom of each post that leads to the next part, so just click on One and it'll lead you to the end.

I'm not sure if the story breaks 10k, but I found it good enough to put up for review. Sometimes the writing style leads to huge paragraphs, but since this is a campfire story with no dialogue, I didn't find it a big problem.

The ending is abrupt, but I wasn't let down at the 'no answers' ending since I expected it. The writer is apparently trying to turn this into a book, and while they have tons of good ideas, I'm interested to see if they can pull it off.
    Just a lot of fun.

    Bumped to gain attention.

Did actually no one read it? I thought people were lusting for original fiction nowadays.

I'll move it next weekend if no one else votes.

I've read it in the past. It is really quite interesting. 5/5 from me.

Most of the stories were some variety of lost person shows up dead in mysterious circumstances, which became somewhat repetitive when the author started reusing parts of previous entries, with only slight the details of the monster/abduction differing. However, the
concept was very evocative, and worth reading about for itself.
