Scheduled Downtime June 24th

I've received an email from my host stating that there'll be some downtime June 24th. During this period (and likely for a little after while things go through their shakedown) connections will be a bit hit-or-miss, and a bit slow.

My Datacenter said:

Cogent has informed us some maintenance work to their network taking place on the 24th of June 2006. The details are enclosed below.

Order ID(s) impacted: 1-4OC1F, 1-4OC1T, 1-4OC27, 1-4OC2L, 1-4OC2Z, 1-4OC3D, 1-58EN6 Expected Outage/Downtime: 1 hour

Cogent customers receiving service in Chicago IL will be affected by this maintenance. Only the Cogent Order ID(s) listed above will be impacted. We will be moving backbone and circuit connections to a new core router one at a time, so the downtime for any single connection will be less than 1 hour, however, you may see packetloss and/or latency throughout the window depending on the amount of traffic you are pushing to Cogent.

During this maintenance window, you will experience one or more brief interruptions in service while we complete the maintenance activities; the interruptions are expected to last less than 1 hour total. However, due to the complexity of the work, your downtime may be longer.

Our network operations engineers closely monitor the work and will do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to you.
"
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that in early July we will be adding 10Gbit of IP connectivity from PCCW Global. This would mean that we can provide our clients with even more bandwidth and better network diversity.
