And holy fuck that thing is long. I'm not typing all that. Does anyone even read that shit? I couldn't get through one paragraph. I mean, it's not that I have something against reading, otherwise I wouldn't be here, but come on, who cares about some newbie's life story. Not me.

So to sum up, I'm a 20-year-old dude who likes Harry Potter fanfic but doesn't really care much about other humans generally. Also, I like really epic action-packed fanfics with violence and sex and badass versions of Harry.

    Welcome me.

    tl;dr hi

We'll it was nice of you to visit but please use the same door you entered through to leave. And please fall directly into the pit of flesh eating babies.

Don't care much for other humans, eh?

Well, that's just fine because we care less than nothing about you. Go swallow a handful of surgical needles.

Yeah, well, fuck you, man. ;)

    Weirdos. ;)

Yeah, if I make it past the initial "I hope you die violently" phase I expect to fit right in here.

The fuck is the point of having an introduction if you don't introduce yourself?

Wait till you see my Pokemon collection. ;)

    Who's Cuzin?

Well, in retrospect I may have miscalculated with my introduction here. Just a bit. But I do think this is a pretty cool site so I don't plan on disappearing anytime soon. Unless I'm banned or something. But you guys wouldn't do that to me...right? ;)

(And maybe not even then since creating a new account is so easy... :p)

@rob. Not sure if that little bit in parenthesis was sarcasm or not. If so, okay. If not, they can read your IP address pretty easily. Unless, I think this is the term, you use a proxy or something.

As for a welcome. They generally like you to introduce yourself as a way of gauging your ability to contribute to the site. Intro's have generally been a trial by fire to prepare the newbies what's it like here, and to provide lulz for the forum. Just don't do stupid shit and there's really no problems.

And, if you do something stupid, they'll give you a warning usually.

Yep. Programming, writing, and being a dick on the internet, those are pretty much my main talents in life. ;)

    Maybe I already have? ;) (That's a joke. Don't ban me.)

Socking is a delicate art. But as long as you use enough proxies and switch up your writing style, there's really no way for you to get caught.

Just a joke. Especially in light of the thing I just posted, I want to officially state for the record that socking DLP is not on my to-do list.

Yeah - I've been reading DLP for a while (it's become the main way I discover new fics) so I knew what to expect.

Thanks for the serious response, btw. ;)

Well, welcome. People do actually read these things and it helps if you lay out your preferences, in addition to acting as if you care about the community. You seem decent enough, but this was probably the wrong foot to start on. Ignore the crap you're getting now and don't act like Mknote; this'll blow over.
