I recently reread the Tales of the Otori, save for the prequel which I find too depressing given my intense like of Shigeru. I was wondering if there was any decent fanfiction for the fandom; some of what I read on ffn was alright, but nothing amazing.

I find myself wanting to explore what I think is the inevitable fate of the Eight Isles; a massive war with the Barbarians and their God.

 

Never found anything amazing either, so I would also appreciate any recommendations.

 

We'll have to write it ourselves, it seems.

 

Haha, I'll have to politely decline. While I do enjoy and read most things in English, it is not my native language, so grammar and stuff are an issue, and I doubt I have any talent for writing. And most importantly, I am quite uncreative.

But you go ahead, I guarantee that I'll read it ^^

 

This was like the asian version of GoT for me as a teenager. I'll need to go back and reread most of them before I can think of a premise. I'll wait with wide eyes if you post anothing resembling a snippet, Cxjenious!

 

I've actually already put together a rough character directory and back story. The Tribe was always my favorite part of the novels, and what I've compiled reflects that fact.
