Well the trailer is completely awesome.

It's surprising just how many movies are coming out that are based on comic books.

You think so? I think it's about time - they're basically pre-written movie storyboards.

On topic: Trailer was craaaazy. I'm stoked.

To me the film looks like a load of crap, all that seems to happen, judging by the trailer, is that the main dude kills hundreds and hundreds of people in increasingly gory ways.

I don't know anything about the comics but this looks like its gonna be one of those thrill ride films with no plot to speak of, only existing to raise your adrenaline levels.

Thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather have something to think about afterwards, rather than, "Awesome! That explosion/battle/brawl was epic/gory/realistic."

I agree with DLG, even if I wasn't going to say anything so I wouldn't ruin your 'WOW! KICK ASS' fest.

The movie didn't look like it had any substance. I was bored about a third of the way through it. ('it' being the trailer...)

    .......800th POST!... Yay.

I'm not an avid comic book fan, but since when does someone called "The Punisher" need to think about plot? The man just seems to be a one man killing machine!

And what music was in that trailer? Does anyone know?

I agree, i don't think i've felt any excitement at all....either that or it's too early in the morning lol

But anyway, this trailer seems more like Grinde House type of movie, excessively brutal and violent.

Thats what the Punisher comics are, brutal and very violent. He (Frank Castle, the Punisher) doesn't care about the law, he cares about revenge, and only revenge.

For the movie, I didn't much like the first Punisher, I don't see myself sticking around for the second one.

@Cxjenious: Titus Pollo is a character from a HBO tv Series called Rome.

    Pretty interesting show.

I'll watch it when it comes out; it probably will be nothing but a violence-fest, but that is what the Punisher comics are at heart and where they shine for me.

Actually one of the two main characters. And Ray Stevenson (who is playing the Punisher) played Titus Pullo. Who was a badass on Rome.

Thank you Zombie. I was thinking I was the only one who knew who Titus Pullo was.

Meh, I'm not impressed. Kind of boring actually, most of the other marvel trailers got me excited. This one was like, "Oh yay, marvel did something...Oh wait it's shit never mind."

Since it comes out tomorrow, I don't feel bad about posting this 5 months after the last post.

I'll be seeing it soon. From the reviews I've read from the intended audience (Punisher comic fans) the movie is awesome. Of course, most of the high-profile critics didn't care for it, but I usually disagree with the critics.

I heard it is way more violent than the new Rambo, with a higher body count than the Death Wish movies. I just hope he actually does some punishingin this film, unlike the 2004 version.

If they fuck this up, I will be amazed. They've had two goddamn tries to make a decent film out of a comic that seems fucking perfect for adapting to the big screen.
