Hillary made a good showing. As much as I disliked her, it took courage and class to show up. People are comparing this to Obama dirst day and saying the crowds are smaller ect which is true, but if I remember correctly, Bush II had a much worse crowd and protests.

Goddamnit. And here I had this fantastic dream that someone left Trump a Baghdadi Curbside Surprise and only he was killed.

    Oh well.

It wasn't. He failed hard at both accounts, and Trump will supercede any small victory he had, in one way or another.

I was kind of hoping for lightning, myself. Real, physical evidence that there is a God or Gods, and that he/they are half as pissed as the rest of us. Or an answer to the question "If Time Travel is possible, where are all the time travelers?"

Oh well, at least the next four years of late night talk-shows will be entertaining by default. Plus, up here in the Great White North, we've got our own Trump to look forward to, in all likelihood. I'm hoping that ours is exactly as good at politics as he is at business so I can stop hearing about him in a month or two, but well, that's what I thought about The Donald at the start too.

As I understand things, Pence is already going to be mostly in charge of setting domestic policy as it is. If that's true, the then it doesn't really matter if Trump corks it on day 1 - Pence is effectively president already anyway. The worst that happens is a trade off from Trump's unhinged wildcard-ness in his international dealings and open flouting of established anti-corruption law, for Pence's religious mania. As secular as I am, I think Pence is the safer option.

I keep to my personal mantra.

    He's 70, it's a stressful job, he's 70, it's a stressful job...

Domestic and Foreign Policy, if you believe Kasich.

Trump can (and probably will) just kind of step in and fuck up either based on his moods, because he can and it's his power Pence will be wielding by proxy anyway.

If we really want someone to be shot, I nominate Pence over Trump.

Hopefully, we would not only get a new and better Vice President, we would have the fortunate pleasure of having Trump be looking over his shoulder every moment. I'm not even sure Trump would even want to be President if he honestly thought he might actually lose his life.

Plus, if he is to be impeached sometime, we won't have to deal with Pence.

We've barely started, and it's already getting worse.

Nigel Farage is being foisted on us.

I hated that idiot enough when he was 3000 miles away, and now he's going to be here, screwing everything up in this country.

IF this is 100% real and not someone's disturbed nightmare, the real and important question is how this will affect the process of diplomatic relations between our two countries if we have the British Ambassador on the one side, and this sniveling bastard on the other, giving conflicting messages.

Why on Earth would he consider Farage's view of Britain as at all realistic? Not even the Leave campaigners liked the guy. Then again, he holds pretty much the same views as Trump, which is what he aims for in advisors.

Wow, a leader of the leave campaign is an actual adviser to the president. That's fucked up.

    Well shit...

Trump has already halted a cut to the FHA mortgage insurance premium that Obama's team has been working on.

    AND

Signed an executive order Friday night directing government agencies to "ease the burdens" of Obamacare.

Please raise your hand if you believe Trump will easily pass Obama's number of Executive Orders. -Raises Hand-

Going to be really brutally honest here, I'm a fan of halting the cut to the FHA mortgage insurance premium. Ownership of a primary residence is not always the best financial move, and the lack of meaningful restrictions on capital requirements for purchasing a home, means that we need something to compensate for the risk.

Insert crack here about how Trump knows how risky low equity position deals are from each of his many bankruptcies.
