I don't get how the bolded meshes with the mindset of saying "everyone is probably wrong about" dC. Also, how can you even know what everyone's thoughts on dC are when a.you didn't read most of Yesterday and b. He is bring scumread by Tom and some others I can't remember off the top of my head,?

Don’t worry, once this gambit is over you’ll get a chance to solve for real.

There's literally no reason to consider a shadowtown world unless vigi fires N2 in which case they will shmurder Newcomb

I'm not even gonna bother worldbuilding that.
    --- Post automerged ---
And there is no world in which Shadow is town and Jarizok is not, as Shadow being town is always a scum Newcomb world and he has no reason to bus D1 in a noflip.

I mean, in scum Newcomb world I don’t know why someone hasn’t cc’d him yet, so I don’t think he is, which is why I’m just over here waiting for him to drop this so that I can not feel like an outcast.

    Okay yeah so

Nnnnnnno. Town would possibly have less info today only, but we would:
    - Still have informed Oracle as you say, who could influence the game without actually claiming
    - Burn a scum nightkill and remove a mislynch (scum would be forced to kill Jari when they would otherwise want to try and mislynch him). This is mechanically stronger, probably enough so to make up for it being informationally weaker.
    - STILL HAVE THE PRIEST HIDDEN. Seriously, this is a huge deal and offsets any lack of info D2 with the ability to have more info D3 and beyond in the form of more Priest checks and a more easily confirmable Acolyte.

I really don't buy that scum would choose the "lynch buddy" option over the "lump buddy" one, doubly so since you're attempting to compare the two on strict merits rather than accounting for the possibility of getting bus credit down the line (which I STILL don't think would offset the fact that lumping scum outs the Priest)

Unrelated: even night Gambler obvious claim case is "hey leave me alive and the vig can get me tonight! I totally won't soup anyone, promise". So nobody fall for that :v

Also if Newcomb is gambitting the correct thing to do is still assume he isn't so it can play out so I don't see any need to consider the possibility.

I don't think townshadow is a world that exists, I just don't really want to think more about the real world yet

Hmm? I don't think I made that hard a push to necessitate telling me to wait my turn. And having the lynch lined up for today doesn't mean lynches beyond that shouldn't be considered or discussed. I'd love to see you try and run me over, though. I'm not an easy mislynch by any means, despite what you may think given my tardiness in this game.

You're right. I must've written that while thinking of what I had read in early D1, where everyone and their momma seemed to be townreading dC.
I don't get how giving him the benefit of the doubt clashes with leaning him scum, though?
    --- Post automerged ---
I don't mind that you don't respond to the second part, but I will have to ask you to address your reasoning / rationale in maintaining the solitary vote on lynch and lump. Please and thank you.
    --- Post automerged ---
I kinda like this post. Mainly for the emphasis on the priest part, but I guess we'll see. You may be right about the difference in value, I'm not familiar enough with this setup to say for sure. That said, though, I still think that using my lump!Shadow/Lynch!Jari votes to try and paint me scum is ill-advised and not nearly as cut-and-dry as some (Tom) seems to think.

Are you looking for my reasoning for voting DC or my reason for not being around at eod?

Pretty sure they're both in my iso

Well, if you are actually town then hopefully you won't have to! The fight thing was part joke and part me pointing out that while we can discuss who the tomorrow lynch should be we don't really have the "oomph" of being able to actually threaten the lynch yet so it kind of mutes the effect of it.

Anyway...hmm. How many no-flip games of any type have you played prior to this one?
