One of the best Harry/Tonks i've ever seen (and probably will ever see).
Wish it were longer, can be kinda dull sometimes but overall A GREAT FIC!
Ok, i'm not gonna ramble on and on about how good it is so just give it a go.

I just couldn't get with this one in the first 4 chapters. As someone who used to love mysteries and often figured out the twist a quarter of the way through I find his ass backwards stupidness painfull to read.

He has all these memories of a German guy named Luddie being with Tonks, Harry picks Ludwig as his fake name, with a German background, and the idiot doesn't figure it out RIGHT then?

Hell when he runs and starts dating Tonks he should figure it out. Does he? No

He only starts to think maybe something more is there when he discovers he'd be a good hit wizard. DUH! Then he doesn't instantly figure it out, he thinks he has to loook in the pensieve later.. ug

Edit finished chapt 4, no, noone beat the stupid out, but he basically had to explain it all to his younger self

Past chapter 4, and especially chapter 7, it does get really, really good.

It DOES get alot better, by a multitude when he's not utterly clueless, and they start the unspeakable training, but good lord the first 4 chapters are painful

    Haha, chill out.
He got oblivated before he used the time turner, i mean he didn't even know who Tonks was until he got to Leaky Cauldron.
Or perhaps he's just senile.. :D

yeah he got obliterated, but he has these flashbacks and still doesn't put things together at all.

The ending rather sucks, and tbh when i looked back it lacked content. Other then a few "Aw how cute moments" with Tonks, the part with Bella, and the bit with the Russian mob boss nothing really happened. He went back and did... nothing really.

Cute twist at the end, though, but it lacked content and depth.

Anyway i'm sure he did alot of stuff, i mean he was an Hit-Wizard unspeakable and apparently one of the best, and how long did he work?
    6-7years?
He even got awarded an Order of merlin first class.
*sigh* That's why i wish it were longer.

I hate stories where Harry ceases to be Harry.

They all go "Oh, I'm tired of being Harry Potter, I'm XXX now..."

Then the author changes his appearance and gives him a new name. Worse, the author starts refering to Harry with his new name.

Once you do all that, Harry just isn't Harry anymore. You just killed him off and created an OC. Your mental image of him changes with the new look at well and it just gets strained.

I like Harry Potter as a character. Once you kill him off or change him so substantially that he isn't Harry Potter anymore, I'm out.

This isn't a Harry/Tonks. This is a Ludwig/Tonks. It's just some random OC with Tonks. Harry/Tonks is what it is because of the age difference, the timeframe they meet, the hurdles to go through...

    See what I mean?

Yeah, I saw that and got all excited when I saw they were continuing it....talk about an "emo" story. I have yet to actually something happy happen in it. It seems pretty disappointing, but maybe it's just me...

I had forgotten how much I'd enjoyed this story. Decent written, entertaining...old though, so there's a few "cliches" here and there, but on the whole decent. Good HT story.

The thing I enjoyed most about this story is that the title makes me think of one of my favorite Dream Theater albums.
