Tutorial 004 intermediate level - Glow

    Hey. Here is a tutorial that will help you make things glow like a Jedi Lightsaber.
    It can be used for anything.

    Here I have used it to make the eyes glow.

    NOTE:
    The Gaussian blur value will change according to the size of the render that you are using. With a little tinkering you might have to adjust the value as per your needs.

    i'm new to the world of photoshop so forgive me if i were to ask ignorant questions.

    When you said adjus the gaussian blur, what do you think it would be best if i were to do it with the eyes? (It does include the eyes, right?!)I didn't play with it yet because i don't have my laptop with me.

    Is that Gatts from Berserk?


    Edit: Outer glow can be used for text layers too, note the "NAPOLEON" in my sig, Outer glow was used for the text layer.

    70% white glow.

    Edit Edit: The text is "A theme for murder" for all those interested.
