Ok so I was bored and felt like making a web site,I was wondering if any one can refer me to a site or some thing that well tell me how to restrict access to only certain people and things, like user names and passwords.

also could you check my web site out and tell me what you think?

keep in mind that I have know idea what I'm doing.

Oh and it really only works (mostly) in IE but it does seem to work in firefox too just with more problems.

I know of a place where you can find all your answers. Here.

Another thing: don't give us links about your website because we don't care; you're new here, and for all that matters it could very well be a spamming/virus or whatever website you're giving us a link to.

You may have registered in 2006, but with 25 posts you're certainly new.

All of that sort of thing depends on the sort of authentication scheme you want. Simple HTTP works. There's plenty of tutorials you can find through Google.
