Which word processor do you use to write?

Word all the way. With XP, naturally. Although Office 2007/2008 can't remember which one bugs the hell out of me. I don't like the new format.

I really like it. I just write in little symbols to denote bold/italics/etc. in case I ever actually publish and/or finish anything I write. Both possibilities seem quite remote.

Wordpad because my "OS is not configured to use this application." That application being the regular Word for XP.
Or Word 2007 if I'm at the uni writing.

I like to use pages. But sadly, it is a mac only program.

I'd go with the standard Microsoft Word. I've not had many problems with.

I used to have Word 2000 and that was pretty good. But then I got a new computer and lost the CD. The computer came with Office 2007 (supposedly a trial, but I'm way past the 30 days and it's still working) but I hate it. The new interface is utter crap. What was wrong with the old menus? Nothing.

So yeah, I use OpenOffice now, though I yearn for my old Word2000.

    OpenOffice for the win.

Oh, and Word2007 needs to be exterminated. 2003 was a hell of a lot better. -_-

OneNote for chapter organizing, Word for papers and other educational work, and for general writing I use Notepad ++ because I don't need all the extra features just to type.

    Either that or darkroom.

Pages, mac version of office, exceptional program, as soon as I have some spare money, i'll shell out the $80 NZD it costs.

About $300 cheaper than office, and 20x better, I have both.

Word 2007, and I hate the interface changes too, but my brother uses this laptop to write coursework sometimes and he's got bad eyesight so the larger buttons are useful.

Word 2003 when I use Windows and Open Office for Linux.

I find Open Office annoying especially when copying large amounts of images (screen shots of physics questions). It crashes on me when I get more than 4 images.

Word doesn't crash on me so yeah if I get bothered to boot up my Windows system then Word 2003 all the way. I've got to agree Word 2007 is shit, I had the trial version but it expired after 60 days and I went back to 2003.

I liked One Note however and need to find myself something like it other than "Tomboy Notes" on Linux.

Thank you, I'll play around with this and see how good it is.
