Title: Harry Potter and the Lords of Magic I
    Author: Taure
    Rating: M
    Genre: Fantasy
    Status: Abandoned
    Library Category: alternates
    Pairings: None
Summary: Massively AU. Assume nothing. Harry Potter is born into a very different world than the one in canon. A world where the Greats of history walk among mere men. A world where power is all that matters, and young Harry Potter is a commodity desired by many.

I thought it was already in library, but after searching it, going through whole AU section, through whole library list, I still couldn't find it. What happened, did somebody removed it. Anyway, if you, somehow, still haven't read it and are interested in it, here is my review for you :-

Well, it's from Taure, so you already know technical writing is good. Sentence structure is good, grammar is good and dialogues doesn't felt clunky and awkward. It flows smoothly.

While AU, I doesn't feel completely different world. Taure is very well versed in capturing J. k. magic. Magic is beautiful in this story, it actually feel magical. Taure capturer's all the little details that make magic, magical.

The characters are mostly in character. Though there are OC's, lots of OC's, but Taure handled them deftly. They feel like actual characters rather than author's tools to fix plot.

The story was only 30k words, when it got abandoned. So plot was only beginning to unveil but there was lots of going on, on bigger picture, wars and stuff.

Overall it was my favorite story from Taure.

    5/5.

Technically, this is more an essay than a story.

Why the fuck would you rec an abandoned story. There's a reason its not in the library. Taure is never going to finish it. He's too busy living in the mind of a teenage'd girl, and he's going to probably end up rewriting that again before too long.

A good story, is a good story. It doesn't matter if it's abandoned or not.

Not really. A story needs to generally be complete to be a good story. What this is, is a decent piece of writing, and all sarcasm aside, we appreciate that.

Need some more reviews and ratings on this guys.

Lords of Magic is one of those classics that everyone wishes that Taure finished, but he never will. Its got the grand AU elements, and told from a deconstructed standpoint, which is typical of something Taure would write because he likes thinking about the tiny minute details and how they can be explored.

I remember liking this when I first read it, its aged fairly well, but now that I look back on it, I think it was fair that he abandoned it, he pretty much wrote himself into a corner he couldn't get out of: One being that having tried to write an AU before, there is only so much new/epic/flashy shit that comes up before it turns from a labor of love and creativity to a chore.

Not saying that's his motivations for dropping it, but I'm sure it contributed.

It does deserve its place in the library, for whats its worth. 3.5/5.

Trash tier fic, some interesting ideas, poorly executed, which never went anywhere. 2/5, not even sure why it's still online.

LOL. Don't worry, people can only rate a thread once.

@Ched, I went ahead and deleted your double post.
