So I'm just reading along to a fic and I get to the point where I need to hit "next chapter" I do but then it only loads the header and story summary before a pop-up says I can't connect. I tried multiple stories but none of them are working. Anyone else having any issues?

Nope, stories seem to load fine for me.

The mobile site is working. Change the www. to a m. and see if that works for you.

Ok, then it's probably just my shitty work computer. Thanks for the quick response guys.

Edit: Thank you yak, that allows me to read it.

I suffered an identical bug when my "allow text selection on ffnet" script malfunctioned after ffnet changed things on their site again.

That was why only the fic text disappeared and everything else was okay.

That and my workplace insists on using Internet Explorer, and not even the newest version.

When I'm in that situation I break out my thumb drive with PortableApps installed on it. Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and others are all available in portable versions. Portable VLC, 7-zip, and Foxit have saved me more than once.

I wish I could but we aren't allowed to put thumb drives into the computers here. It's a bank so I understand the reasoning, even if it is a bit frustrating. Did the bug ever get fixed?

Welp, forget everything I just said then. Hah. A bank.

I updated to a new "allow text selection on ffnet" script which worked just fine.

I don't even have access to that, lol. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'm gonna look into PortableApps anyway just because it seems handy. In the meantime, reading via mobile site will have to do.
