    Skarner, though I enjoy him, suffers greatly from having either of his buffs stolen. Due to the need to spam his Q, he needs at the very least his first blue otherwise he gets really far behind the opposing jungler. Taking his red is almost worse, since his ganks are extremely difficult to pull off without it since he has to get in melee range and pull off 2 Qs to slow if he lacks red.     Movespeed Quints and the movespeed Masteries in the defense/utility tree go a long way towards making ganking without boots more effective in my experience. In fact, if I can reasonably do so, I like to run 0/21/9 simply because having additional movespeed, even if it is only 2%, makes ganking (and running) so much more effective.

    Diana is certainly fun to play. I played a couple games on the PBE and I enjoyed her a great deal. The arcing Q is quite unique and enjoyable. I'll be picking her up for sure when she is released.

    People place too much importance on elo, and too little on their actual play. A player's skill does not exist at "1600 elo" or "1370 elo". Your skill is a range, by the very nature of how "solo elo" is calculated in a team focused game. Your "proper elo" will actually be a range of approximately 100 or so, such as 1350-1450.     People will complain about anything. I can't believe I still hear people complain about Darius, he isn't hard to deal with if you have half a brain. That said, I complain about him too, but I complain about him the same way I complain about Trynd and Poppy ults (or Teemo in general). That is to say I am not serious. On the other hand that glitch is hilarious. Better nerf Irelia, just saying.

    I don't play Darius, but facing Yorick as pretty much anyone is absolute torture in my opinion. If you can bait out his ult, do so and disengage. Yorick is a lot less painful to handle when his ult is on cooldown. This is most easily done as a highly mobile top such as Riven or Kennen (and not Darius), who can "pretend" to go all in, then suddenly kill the slow ghoul and be gone when he ults himself.     Eve/twitch reworks are awesome. I play neither, but hopefully I won't have to drudge through a game with a useless champion like we have to now if they are picked. As for Jayce, the best build I have seen for him to date was to build him as an AD "assassin" type, somewhat similiar to Riven.     Jayce seems good, but in my experience playing against him in top lane, he isn't all that great. I haven't really had too much trouble either killing, zoning, or ignoring him as my go-to champs. His ranged nuke is ridiculously easy to dodge, unless shot through his gate, which is stupid obvious to see coming.     I thought it was quite a bit of both honestly. CLG.EU played extremely well when forced into their base and essentially stopped every push amde by M5. On the other hand, M5 seemed to just hang around when they clearly weren't gaining anything, not being willing to initiate a fight under a turret even with a 30K gold lead and Baron buff. Cool comeback by CLG and less than stellar play by M5

    Chalice of Harmony has actually been a reasonably common buy for me. It is very cheap at only 890? gold, making it an item I don't feel bad to get and sell later. Mind you, the only mids I really play are Annie, Veigar and Lux, but I have never really regretted buying an early Chalice on them.     As I recall, elo change is based on relative elo, yours compared to the average elo of the enemy team, the greater the disparity, the greater the gain or loss. I seem to remember reading somewhere that if you don't play often, your elo will naturally decline, so if you don't play much on SR that could be it. But there is no other reason I can think of that your elo would decline off of a won game.

    Varus' ult is downright frightening if the enemy team has any sort of other aoe lockdown. Flash-ult Galio into Varus ult anyone? Had that happen yesterday, combined with a Nunu ult. Our whole team was dead in three seconds.     Saddening defeat for my last game of the day, but I feel good (and bad) about how I played. I played Corki with a Nunu support against Sivir/Shen bot. After a horrific first 10 minutes giving up 4 kills to 1, we managed to turn the lane around by the twenty minute mark, giving me 5 kills to 4.     Those Annie buffs put a smile on my face. Particularly since she's pretty much the only AP mid that I play with any degree of consistency. Incinerate's cost reduction means that I'll be able to throw it out more often, and molten shield can be used to charge pyromania far more effectively now. I might even decide to take a point in it earlier now. I just hope they don't decide to scale them back before it goes live.

    I can speak from experience as well, being relatively new, that Tristana is perhaps the easiest AD Carry in the game to learn. That Q just makes her so strong when you need that damage output and her W makes it easy to escape any sort of gank. Her ult is equally good for ensuring an escape or, if you are feeling confident, a W -> R combo, jumping behind them and busting them under your turret. Best feeling ever, sort of like doing the same sort of thing with Alistar or Blitz or Skarner.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there even another way to play Annie? You have to have the AP to boost your damage and CDR so you can throw your Tibbers stun more often.

    Quick question. I'm pretty new to League, but I have seen a lot of mages using one or more Doran's Rings, particularly at the start. Is it really such a useful item? I have been running Ryze generally, and Annie when I can't run Ryze. With Ryze I usually start Sapphire Crystal -> Tear -> Boots of Speed. But I have seen other's use Doran's, and while it seems pretty good, I don't understand why everyone seems to start with it.
