    Hey, all! I'm back from an unexpected three week travelling vacation that left me bereft of any internet (or even computer) access. But I'm back, now, still suffering from jet lag--and very ready to pick up where I left off with my story. Oh, and school is starting up on the first of August (am dreading this: Senior year and college aps!). All in all, though, I feel like I had a very good summer vacation. It was awesome!     Thanks everyone! I'm glad I got such positive reviews for this chapter. I have to admit, I was worried that the ending might disgruntle a lot of people--and though a few did mention it, most seem only curious as to what will happen. Anyway, the next chapter will hopefully give a clearer picture of what happened during the battle. So. Toodles for now, and thanks again!

    The next part is DONE. I'll be leaving it to cool down for about thirty minutes, then I'll check it over. Once that's done, it'll go to my betas (one old, one new--the old checks for the flow, and the second for grammar&punctuation). They'll hopefully finish it within two days. Then it'll get posted. I'm very excited with this chapter. At least, I think I am. I'll be more definite once I've gone over it again. Toodles for now!

    Hey, everyone! Just wanted to give you a heads up that part of the next chapter, 'Tis Midnight, is posted on my LJ. I know there's been a distinct lack of updates from me for nearly a month, now, but I'm back! The posted part is about 6,700 words long, and I have about 4,000 more to go. I'm terribly hoping to finish it by tomorrow. If you have any comments, things that you think should be different about it, feel free to post it here. I think you'll all see where I'm going with the marking business, once I post the next chapter... *tries to act like I'm not avoiding the subject of when* And remember, keep in mind the new Prophecy that Minerva heard in the Headmaster's office. Something like, "Midnight" should strike a bell... especially since the next chapter is titled, "'Tis Midnight."

    Actually, I've just looked over what I've written so far, and I realized that it was all absolute rubbish. I obviously wasn't thinking as clearly as I thought I was when I wrote those scenes.     Sorry about the lack of an update... My parents enrolled me in a two week intensive SAT I study program that lasts nearly 10 hours every day. Every single day! By the time I get home at about 7 in the evening, I'm absolutely wiped. I'm trying to finish the chapter. Really, I am. But my brain is so dead tired, I just can't seem to write coherently. Good news, though: I got 800 on my Math IIC test, so that's cool! ^^ Saturday is only a half-day morning thing, so I have the afternoon...

    You're in denial, as Rain loves to tell *me*. Anywho, I distinctly remember that one statue actually reflected the Killing Curse. It actually surprised me a bunch, when I read it. Ah, here, I found it: "But the headless golden statue of the wizard in the fountain had sprung alive, leaping from its plinth to land with a crash on the floor between Harry and Voldemort. The spell merely glanced off its chest as the statue flung out its arms to protect Harry."

    Thanks everyone! I'm very, very flattered. In fact, I'm so flattered, that my face is burning terribly red! (Although that might be from the horrible sunburn I got last week out on the beach. ^^) Anywho, to Sree (who is, like Rain, very delusional :P) : I probably didn't make it clear enough. The shield was a conjuration of something solid, like the statues in the Ministry courtyard, and that reflected the Killing Curse.

    Hey, thanks for the comments, guys! I really appreciate it! To IP82: Nope. Didn't plan the aging potion until I began writing this chapter. And quite frankly, I'm not sure yet how this'll affect my story in long terms. I mean, I know exactly what's going to happen as a result in the next two or three chapters--but beyond that? No clue. (I am, however, furiously outlining my story again. So, no worries, there!) Anyway, I really hope I can do you all justice with the upcoming fighting...

    lol, yeah. I hate the term "Grey", especially when authors capitalize it. The Grey wizard. The Grey Lord. I'm sorry, but it just irks me!     Of course, Dark wizards don't ask the "Dark" for guidance. There exists a fundamental difference between how light wizards see the Light, and how dark wizzies see their Dark. And besides, I know Christians sometimes say "Christ!" or "Lord help me!" but that doesn't mean the average, atheist, non-Christian doesn't say "God" or "Holy ***". Even Hagrid says "Gawd" sometimes as an expletive (sp?) in cannon--and I do think Hagrid isn't a Christian. In any case, Harry has been around Minerva...

    I plan to keep Harry undeclared. Neither Light nor Dark. And thus he'll have the advantage of knowing both, though he won't the finer details of either. So, there are advantages and disadvantages... which is true of everything in real life. I'll go more into detail for this, too. After all, not every spell is branded Light or Dark, and the terms of which are not exactly defined. It's very complicated, but I hope I can convey it well....

    Yeah, it was *so* locked up, that Death Eaters swarmed the school and managed to kill Dumbles. lol... No. I know it was Malfoy who let them in through the cabinet, don't worry.     Nah, it's more like Pettigrew is possessed by the heir of Slytherin. Besides, Dumbles isn't there at the moment, allowing Wormtail to slip in. Also, remember, he's an Animagus and virtually undetectable. (We see this in PoA, when Pettigrew actualy *lives* in Hogwarts for nearly three years without being caught.) Oh, and the portkeys? The Goblet of Fire pretty much clears up the "no Portkey" ward. Of course, Albus will learn his lesson, now.... lol..... So. I really found nothing...

    Wow, there really are a lot of mixed feelings about LV remembering, and people are making wrong assumptions. LV does not know the future. At all. Apparently, according to the original author, the magical cores of their future selves merged with their younger, thus making them much more powerful.
