He's very involved in the main plot, he's got enough enough potential to rival anyone, and he's talented enough to reasonably grow into whatever type of fighter the author wants.     You seem to be underestimating Shinobi. A good jutsu from a decently skilled shinobi is large enough to seriously harm them. If people could fight with bijuu then they could fight with summons.     Meh, your original question that was commented on was why Sakura gets flak for being a fangirl and not Naruto. I don't consider Kishimoto's actions as all that relevant to that. Saying it's his fault doesn't retroactively change the story to make her more useful. It's also not just against people she's not suppose to be able to fight like Zabuza, Gaara, or Oro. She also didn't do anything against that Ame team to get the scroll and she didn't go with Shika's team to retrieve Sasuke.

    I don't see Naruto or Sasuke being freaks as relevant to how useful Sakura was. Naruto's one instance of being useless doesn't equal Sakura's habit of doing so and Sakura's two instances of being useful don't counter her general uselessness. While I wouldn't say that Naruto actually did anything to help Sasuke against Haku(before he was knocked out) he did save Tazuna's family and clean things up after Sasuke went down. Sakura would often sit in the background not even making an effort to help.

    I'd say that the difference between Naruto and Sakura is that Naruto makes himself useful and carried his own weight while Sakura generally didn't. It's kind of like a character being a douche is seen as bad but if they're hilarious and a douche then people will overlook it.

    The author is trying to claim that genin Sasuke is more reckless than genin Naruto which is absurd. Quick to point out that Sasuke charged head first against Itachi(his goal in life) but ignoring that Naruto tried to jump over the table and attack Tsunade. Sasuke also had the sense to try and retreat and surrender against Orochimaru and Naruto tried to flip that into something negative.

    Yeah, I liked what I read of that. Was kind of irritated how Jiraiya vs Obito turned out. It's not like he's still a kid like when he fought Minato. He shouldn't have been embarrassed like that. Also Jiraiya just knowing he wasn't Madara seemed like BS.

    Sasuke was going to be the backup in the sense that Obito was trying to get Sasuke to awaken the Rinnegan. That's why he sold him out at the summit and transplanted Itachi's eyes into him. He was planning to hook him up to the Gedo Mazo later and pump him full of Hashirama cells.

    There are bloodlines(good genes) and there are bloodline limits(abilities that only people of a bloodline can use). I believe when people refer to bloodlines here they're referring to bloodline limits as opposed to just having good genes. The Uzumaki chakra chains may be considered a bloodline limit but not strong vitality, lots of chakra, and longevity.

    It depends on the distance. Lee was uber fast in genin terms but Kiba and Sasuke are in the same speed tier as him after the time skip. Lee's hasn't become good enough to fight S rankers with pure taijutsu yet like Guy. You're ignoring that Ino isn't a combat ninja. She's a support ninja. She's a sensor and a rather good one at that.     Even before crazy plot twists started popping up. Sasuke killed Orochimaru, Deidara, and Itachi. Took down Danzo and saved Konoha the trouble of doing it, ended the Edo Tensei, brought valuable reinforcements for the war, and was instrumental in fighting Obito, Madara, and Kaguya.     But then I have a strong feeling that Raijin no Ken and Kiba can be stropped by any blade with elemental chakra(Wind or Lightning) run through it. If you're bamf with Wind or Lightning you shouldn't need the sword to cut through "perfect" defenses. Suiton has also shown high levels of cutting power but hasn't really been tested against top tier defensive jutsu that I can recall. Fire and Earth users may like the sword though.

If we use epilogue Sasuke then we'd have to assume he's mastered Doton, Suiton, and Fuuton too. As for Sasuke without his doujutsu.     I think Hiruzen sanctioned him to act, not sanctioned his actions. The difference being that Hiruzen didn't approve his actions individually and probably didn't know what he was doing for the most part. He just knew that Danzo was doing something and let him. Some would argue that sitting on your hands while an invasion is going on is intentionally weakening Konoha.

    You're forgetting that his stats have increased along with the number of techniques. His speed is comparable to a ten tails Jinchuuriki and his strength is great enough to create shockwaves. His chakra is almost certainly at bijuu levels as well. Doujutsuless Sasuke would blitz around like a Gated Guy(perhaps not 8th gate) and spit out enormous Madara sized jutsu. Clearly Kage level.

    There's nobody like that in the series. Everyone would be downgraded at least one rank. Take away Jinchuuriki abilities from Naruto and Sasuke would crush him. He couldn't fight at the same level.     I think there's a big difference between having a gimmick and being a one trick pony. Just because those people on your list tend to focus on their most potent abilities doesn't mean that's all they can do(which seems to be the complaint).
