    So I had a conversation with the author, and I am happier than I used to be. He doesn't plan to have some sort of 'redemption'-plot, and Harry will not end up fighting with Neville against Voldemort. This means I can now continue reading the story, and hopefully enjoy Harry taking apart the DA and fighting his way back into Slytherin's good graces. Edit: Fixed, thanks Fardeki.     I now read a little further and I want to drop it every other line all over. After the smoking it turns out Daphne is a halfblood. After halfblood!Daphne it turns out all Harry does is being led around by Daphne (literally). After only being led around, turns out the story premise is Harry and Daphne have sex (no wonder the summary is vague shit -- who would read "Harry and Daphne have sex. What follows after?"). And still I'm not even halfway through the first chapter. I'll take your word...

    Because the author actually takes the ratings seriously, which means M covers only references or mentions to both violence and sex; "Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA." in which I'm not sure "detailed descriptions" actually covers PWP. In others words, what everyone thinks of as M is actually MA, MA is X or whatever, and half of FF.net would have to be taken down. (A reason might be that the author comes from the old Shur'tugal...

    Not a bad story, but I massively dislike the direction in which the author takes it currently. He's driving a wedge between Harry and the other Slytherins, while pushing him closer to Neville & co (especially Hermione) -- which follows from the events as he presented them naturally enough, only, I don't want to read that.     It's decent. Would probably fit into this thread. Upside is regular updates, since he pre-writes the story. Based on the reviews I left, year 1-4 are pretty light-hearted adventury-stuff. Year five I haven't read yet, but it takes the darker-atmosphere Canon turn, since with Voldemort's return, Harry is now surrounded by enemies (i.e. he used to be friends with Draco, and had Pansy as a g/f). I expect Angst and Drama, but hopefully not too bad. By and large, he managed not to force Harry...

    Because it is Barely Readable/Almost Recommended. If it didn't have the issues, I'd recommend it outright :p I suppose if you have the ability ignore the problems, it might be a decent enough thing to waste time.

    I talked about this in IRC the other day. It's a bit simplistic, missing about a million commas, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. There's some quite interesting and for FF pretty original stuff in there, e.g. in regards to how they constructed the parliament and the vote, and on the flip side, it wins the universe for the "cheering him on while he fucks them over"-factor. Together, that combination is unbeatable. I love it. And of course, Harry and Daphne's relationship wins the award...

    Well, it uses the Dobby-thing, but that works. Worse is the abusive!Dursleys plot, and I scrolled past that. What I disliked most was the middle of the second chapter, which dragged on and made me impatient. The ending was way better, and that the author is in Cornwall makes me glad. I like it when people know what they are writing about.
